When you find yourself in Walnut Grove, Ca. As we have this week. Don’t miss a meal at Fat Lou’s. We walked in around 2pm. Lou treated us like family. Took our orders got our beverages and started bringing freshly made chips and jalapeño with variety of homemade sauces and salsas all made this week from his garden. The carnitas was delicious and I must say the leftovers several hours later hit the spot. Lived in LA for many years, Lou’s food was on par with any I’ve eaten. Great guy, good story teller and excellent food. Check it out
Tamales are awesome. There are actually chunks of pork, very well seasoned. The green pork are my favorite. My wife likes the rajas tamales. Will definitely come back

Food is fresh and wholesome....but the price to quantity ratio is absurd. I paid over $50 for two plates of food that would hardly fill up a 5 year old. Again, it was flavorful....but you DEFINITELY leave hungry. DONT GO HERE IF YOURE EVEN REMOTELY HUNGRY.

Amazing food, fantastic staff. I had the Chile verde. The best I have ever had. The owner Lou told me it is his abuelita's recipe. All of the staff are very friendly. He makes his own hot sauce as well (which he let me sample all 3 flavors). Great relaxed atmosphere. A true "mom-n-pop" business. Fresh and delicious food!

Mexican style cafe. Ordered Fat Lou Super Burger. Good burger ? Great steak fries ?. Would most definitely stop by on my next trip BUT It's a little pricey Majority of dishes are priced above $20. I would say expect to pay $30 per person.

There is nothing under $20. I bought 4 burrito s, 3 weeks ago and was charged $80. I'll NEVER go back. They weren't even that Big. For $80 I expect more than a small burrito and no sides. Shame on you LOU???

Very friendly staff! There is so much good food, too! I had the BBQ chicken with their homemade potato salad and green beans and an ice cold Pacifico.
