I got to say it is the best authentic korean restaurant in Rowland Heights area. 100% coming back again!

I went to Gungjung Seolleongtang today because Sunnongdan was closed. I decided to order oxtail soup to-go. Unfortunately, it was not the best oxtail soup I’ve had. The meat was quite stuck to the bones and difficult to separate, and the texture was tough and chewy, making it challenging to eat. It seemed as though low-quality oxtails were added to the seolleongtang broth. Additionally, the kimchi did not meet my expectations either. Since it was my first time trying this place, I had hoped for a better experience, but it didn't quite live up to what I was looking for.

The soup & meat is sour. The ingredients are not fresh but all frozen. But each dish is overpriced.

The service of the waiters in this restaurant is really bad. It closes at 10 p.m. and I arrived at 9:20. They refused me from the very beginning and didn't want me to eat there. In the end, they even restricted me from ordering and only allowed me to have simple noodles. There were still 40 minutes before closing time. Why don't you put up a notice on the wall to inform the customers?

The food was great. Galbi beef was tender and flavorful. The mixed ox soup was a bit bland, but just as some salt and chili and the flavor is there. Overall great experience.

I have been coming here for over ten years. The food quality is consistent, and the side dishes always taste good.

The beef soup really stinks. I thought it was just me, but after reading the comments, it’s really not my fault. It really stinks.

I used to enjoy this place but the lady was very rude asking for a tip. I tip but not all the time. I think if I visit a place a lot, that I am already being a consistent customer and they should be grateful, not every time is a tip mandatory. Another reviewer stated that they have a mandatory tip policy, and I believe it now. I don't read or speak korean but I would hope they would be more flexible with this. The food is good. Her chasing me for a tip left a sour taste in my mouth.

The most basic and ordinary Korean style noodle restaurant. If you want traditional Korean stew, try one of the menus here. Most are Asians. The cold noodles are especially refreshing and delicious. I highly recommend them. If you buy them in a size large, two people can eat them.

I was very satisfied with the restaurant, except for the rude chatting of customers inside the restaurant.
