Their Dinuguan was awful. The ingredients were tiny pieces of meat & ground chicharon which I could hardly feel. They try to make money & don’t think of customer’s satisfaction. I will never step foot on that store anymore & definitely will not recommend to friends plus I was charged $12. for a good-for-nothing food.

Never again. Ordered 5 days in advance. Get to the store, waited 30 minutes just to get to the register to tell them I had an order placed. They told me it would be 1 hour. What the heck is the use of ordering ahead? If they had told me I had to come and pay first I would have, but lady on the phone just took my order. Can't rely on a place like this if you need food for a party, it will be hit or miss. Wait time would be about 90 minutes if you want turon.

The best turon! Just the right sweetness and the banana is perfectly ripe. Tita Girlie is a sweetheart. She reminds me of my auntie. So sweet and accommodating. I love kalahi bakery! Their pastillas is also yummy!

I've been going to this small store/bakery serving Filipino delis for over 25 years. I particularly love the chicharon, chicken empanada, crunchy Turon, and hopia. The Frontline servers are nice and friendly.

Popular items at this place are the baked empanadas and turon. If you are thinking of stopping by in the morning, on the way to work, they open at 7am but the empanadas are not ready until about 7:30am and the turons at 8:30am. I stopped by on a Friday morning hoping to bring empanadas to work. I am not from the area, changed my route but, left empty handed. I would have been so late to work (DTLA) if I waited till 7:30am. I wish that they would just change their hours to 8:30am so no expectation that items are going to be ready at 7am.
If you are a filipino you will love this place❤️ like craving the food you missed back home! Sorry, I don't have pictures this time but when I get back again for sure, I'll take some.If you want to try mouth watering filipino delicacies, this is it!????????
