Ordered in advance Turon, but was still not ready. What's the use of placing an order in advance? Very expensive too! We only had a few items; and it was shockingly almost $100! We usually go to other bakeries; and way better prices. Plus they charge $3 extra when you pay with a debit or credit card.

Mixed feelings about this place. I like how you can order party trays, but dislike that there's only one line for pick up. If I put in an order ahead of time and I'm there to pick up, why do I have to wait in the same line as customers who are there doing same day purchases? Also, why ask for a time of pick up and my order isn't ready at that time? This has happened not just with me, but with several other members of my family. :( The turon is yummy and recommended by many as well as their halo halo. The workers there are friendly and the place is not as roomy as it could be with so many people packed in during busy holiday events. The Hopia is a little too dry for my liking. The ube filling was a little hard and not moist. Other than that, the customer service is great so that's what will have me come back here. Besides, it's closer to home when visiting family and I don't have to deal with the traffic in the plazas by sea food city and island pacific. Lol

Hi Just wondering what time you guys open it says open at 6am and I've been parked calling your bakery and no one answers. Lights are on but doors are closed. So what time do you actually open? The poor rating is strictly for hrs of operations

Twice now I've arrived here at 6:30am. They're supposed to open at 6. OPEN sign is flashing, all lights are on but there's no one. Update your times!!! You are wasting my time.

My to go place for Filipino fried banana (turon). It's basically banana and slice jackfruit rolled in a spring roll wrapper and caramelized with outside. They are always hot and fresh. You can order in a big batch as well on the spot. The service is fast. They also sell other Filipino snacks in the store. But their Turon definitely the best!!

Omg I used to come to this home town bakery all the time as a kid. While in the area, I wanted to stop by and taste their food again. We came on a Sunday morning and there was a small line forming, but service was quick and we did not have to pre-order! Happy to see this business thriving! The chicken empanadas and turon are exactly the same as how I remembered them. The food is so consistent after all these years and the best of the best. Literally have not found turon or empanadas like this anywhere else. Thank you for continuing to make a childhood favorite of mine and keeping the memories alive!

Bought some deli specialties today at this store and was helped by ALMAE. She is very friendly and efficient. Food and ambiance are excellent. Much to my delight, she made sure that I have a great customer service experience. Management should recognize her accordingly. Kudos to Almae and Kalahi Bakery!

Go to place for Turon, which is favorite and turned my kids as well a bunch of friends to Flip foodie lovers. Order ahead of time,. However, my Mom's is still the best... lol

The best turon! Just the right sweetness and the banana is perfectly ripe. Tita Girlie is a sweetheart. She reminds me of my auntie. So sweet and accommodating. I love kalahi bakery! Their pastillas is also yummy!

I've been going to this small store/bakery serving Filipino delis for over 25 years. I particularly love the chicharon, chicken empanada, crunchy Turon, and hopia. The Frontline servers are nice and friendly.

3.5 stars? Come on yelpers. Why? Nice clean location in Walnut border West Covina area. The service is fast and the staff there is friendly. There's no place to sit so you just order out. They have pre-made deserts, snacks, and drinks. I had the bibinka malagkit (sticky rice) which was great! It wasn't overly sweet. The texture of the rice was not too sticky. The turn is a deep fried desert with banana. It's glazed and coated with brown sugar. It was deliciously crispy. Perfect for my sweet tooth craving. 4.0 for me. Will come back when I'm in the area again.
