This small neighborhood restaurant has been around for a very long time. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and were quickly seated as it was just the two of us. Larger parties had to wait as the restaurant was packed. The service was fast, friendly and efficient. All the waitresses work together so we were well looked after. We ordered the Nigiri Deluxe and their Short Ribs Bento Box special. Thoroughly enjoyed the Nigiri. Plenty of food and a variety of fish was fresh and delicious! The Bento box on the other hand had a variety of different items including sashimi. Everything was good except for the Short ribs. Will definitely be back for the next sushi craving!

Lunch time... Co-worker referred and I am happy I took a chance. Very small inside but clean and friendly wait staff. Everything was so fresh and good tasting. No wait time during the 12pm lunch hour so that was cool. Food came fast. No complaints here. I had the lunch combo entree with miso soup and salad included. Teriyaki salmon, veggie/shrimp tempura; hot tea and I'm a satisfied woman!

Been going to this restaurant for at least 10 years. It’s a small place and always busy. The food has never disappointed me. The lunch special is reasonably priced and they have this great deal on party trays. For $95 I think we got about 8-10 sushi rolls, I forgot the exact count. Service is great.
I've been going to Ninja Sushi since I was a kid. This place is definitely one of Walnut's finest gems and the only place I would ever recommend for authentic Japanese food. For the quality, price, and service you really can't beat Ninja Sushi. However, I wanted to share some major changes I've noticed with the new owner/management. Service: (5/5) Service there is still impeccable. Even when it gets busy the servers never forget an order and are very attentive. Ambiance: (5/5) Depending on the time of day it can get pretty busy so plan accordingly. The restaurant is quite small and there isn't much space to wait inside. Nonetheless, I love how homey and comfortable the restaurant feels. Food: (4/5) Some major changes I've noticed since the change in management/ownership: -The chawanmushi has no flavor. -Sashimi pieces are cut WAY smaller than before (may be due to shrinkflation). Pieces are about half the size as they once were which was extremely disappointing. -Sushi rolls are not made as neatly and have uneven proportions (eg. Each piece of Dryer's roll does not have both an avocado and eel slice on top) -Miso Soup no longer has seaweed. ): A major drawback for me.

Over priced sushi, nothing original that stands out. Ordered a Jerry Roll which is supposed to be seared and it wasn't. Tried spicy ninja roll was a total let down. Thought maybe they are just really good at the basics but even their crunch roll was a let down. Their dinning area really small.

Ordered the lunch special with tonkatsu and tempura. The serving size was satisfying and the tempura fry technique was on point. It's hard to find restaurants that execute it well. The service was attentive and the staff were nice.Parking: Although the parking lot is pretty big it seems they don't have a lot of available open spaces. I got lucky and pulled into a spot, but there were several others driving in circles looking for one.

I had sashimi and the fish was very fresh with generous portions, plus good miso soup and rice. They have a fresh sushi bar and a menu with a good variety of dishes. The service was fast and servers friendly and courteous. It is a very small restaurant so there could be a wait depending on when one goes, but it has a good atmosphere and comfortable seating. They also do take-out. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting great Japanese food!

Went here to catch up with my family. The servers were very friendly and attentive. It was authentic Japanese food and would definitely come back. Prices are reasonable for what you get and the quality of the fish was very fresh and tasty.
