Large portions, not overly seasoned broth, clean, and reasonably priced.

We "discovered" this place last week while at the drive thru of The Habit. I couldn't see the name of the restaurant as a tree was covering the top half. What caught our attention though, was the many people of different races that were going in and out of the restaurant. We tried it this past Sunday and found it to be very good. We usually go to another Vietnamese restaurant in San Dimas. I think we'll be coming back to this one. We bought 3 different dishes including Phó, 2 soups, and 3 main dishes. I'll pickup the names next time. Highly recommended.

The key to any good pho is the broth. The broth is done right at Pho Hai, except for a little too strong on the anise side. Otherwise, it would be perfect and an "A." I had the Tai Nam, No. 13. The meat portion is generous, and the rare steak is of good quality, close to a filet mignon. The "nam," well-done flank, is cooked to the right tenderness. I would say that Pho Hai is the best of all the Pho in Walnut, West Covina, Roland Heights, Diamond Bar, and the City of Industry, again except for a little too strong with anise.Parking: Parking is a little tight during rush lunch hours. I usually come either before noon or after 1.

I'm going to preface this review by stating that I'm Vietnamese American, born and raised in Orange County, in the heart of Little Saigon. Needless to say, it is really hard to find good Vietnamese restaurants outside of the county. That being said, I was skeptical to try this place, and I'm glad I did, because trời ơi! People are really missing out. I walked in and could immediately tell that the food was going to be good, based on the Vietnamese drama playing in the background, and Vietnamese music, but wanted to keep my hopes down. Walking in, the place feels like any old mom and pop shop back at home.I ordered the Phở Đặc Biệt and was immediately impressed with the smell. Upon first sip of the soup, I was floored. The phở is as good as when my bà ngoại makes it. The only thing though, is there is very little cilantro and very little râu thơm, but all is forgiven considering the taste is exceptional.I also ordered the large cà phê sữa đá and it's pretty strong. Good, but my personal preference is sweeter. This is more akin to what my own dad would like, but that just means it's authentic.I'm so glad I gave this place a try. Rất ngon!

Cơm tấm is straight from the fridge and is microwaved for you, I can tell.

My order smelled like menudo. They wouldn't take it back, I didn't eat it and still had to pay for it. 25 bucks down the drain.

I tried Pho for the first time. The broth had so much flavor. Delicious and very filling. Would definitely come back again.

Not a bad spot for pho outside of Little Saigon. I’m super picky with my pho and this place is quite decent for this area! The soup was flavorful & seemed like quality broth. The meat was standard and on par with many pho shops. The vegetable tray was a little small though, they give very little basil & bean sprouts.Overall, I was not expecting much considering I dropped off my gf at school in this area and had to get my pho fix (I am from Little Saigon). It was a pleasant surprise, so give it a shot!

If you're looking for Pho on the go... Pho Hai is it! I always call ahead of time to pick up my order... It never takes longer than 15 minutes. My go-to is the chicken pho The broth is 10/10The chicken is 10/10& they're extremely generous with the toppings. Although I have never stayed to eat my pho, it's very clean and you can always find a table. I've never seen more than 5-10 people at a time. There's also great dessert places right next door. As for the ambiance, it's quite peaceful. There's always an interesting movie playing on the television.

So far one of my favorite pho place! The taste is good every time I went, recommend the noodle with beef and pig fee, it has a spicy flavor but not actually spicy. Just this time I ordered large but the portion is much less than usually :(

This place continues to be our go-to for Vietnamese food. The pho brisket is my favorite and they do a great job with it - flavorful broth with a good amount of meat and noodle. The pork bahn mi is tasty and the baguette they use is crisp and flaky, but still soft. I only wish they had a deli style bahn mi. But everything we've had here - grilled pork vermicelli noodles, egg rolls, etc. has been great. The people are friendly and it's a comfy little place to get some good pho when the craving strikes.

My spouse wanted to check out this small Pho place across from Mt. Sac. college. Ordered1. Daily special combo -it comes with soup choice (item #1-10) along with egg rolls OR shrimp and pork eggroll, a drink and a homemade flan. Ordered #1 - Pho Dac Biet Xe Lua - The flavor of the soup was good not the best.2. Chicken baguette - It was perfectly warm delicious crunchy sandwich. The marinated chicken was different and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. The only reason for one less star is because of the price.Overall, we enjoyed our meal.

The first time I had the best chicken friend rice was when I was seven. It was in a small restaurant in Downtown LA that no longer exist.Thursday i had take out; I was craving PHO because I was sick and a nice broth sounded like a good idea. I've had it before, full of vegetables, mushrooms, Bok Choi, you get it. I took a chance in the chicken friend rice not expecting much, but wow was I surprised. It took me back to my earlier years friend rice experience.BravoTake out service was ok, Straightforward owners, you pay you go. Dining service is a lot nicer and friendlier.

Best Pho spot in West Co/ Walnut area. Never disappoints me and always hits the spot :)

This used to be a very good spot for pho, the ownership changed around late 2021 and the quality of their pho broth has gone down quite a bit. A lot less flavor in their pho broth nowadays. It’ll do the trick if you’re looking for something quick and last minute, otherwise, there are better options for sure
