By far my favorite winery in San Diego County. This authentic wine maker focuses all their time and energy on making excellent wine. Where some other wine makers are wedding venues or tourist attractions first, Hawk Watch got it right in my opinion; great wine made with passion. Having said that, it's also beautifully located in the Warner Springs area, which means you can enjoy a glass of wine in tranquility surrounded by the vineyards and beautiful hillsides.
We stumbled on this place on accident and we were very impressed! The location is gorgeous - on top of a hill with gorgeous views of the valley and surrounding mountains. It's a gorgeous place to watch the sunset. The wine was delicious- we purchased a flight of red wine (5 pours for $18) and they were all so good.
