Poetry In Motion Catering

If you really want the food at your wedding to feel personal and unique (not to mention delicious of course!), definitely go with Catering in Motion. While researching various wedding caterers, we noticed that most catering companies will have pre-set menus that you can choose a certain number of items from. They give you their lists of appetizers, salads, entrees etc. and you select the ones that sound the best to you. But PIM takes a different approach.

When we first reached out to Karen she did send us sample menus from previous weddings but she also asked us to send her a list of foods that we both really enjoy eating. I have the palate of a 5 year old so I didn’t think she could do much with my list of french fries and cheeseburgers but I was pleasantly surprised. She sent us back a sample menu of foods she thought we would enjoy based on our list. Have you ever had cheeseburger meatball bites and sweet potato waffle fries with fresh guacamole as an appetizer? Because I have now, and they were SO good! And her pigs in a blanket took me back to childhood just like that scene in Ratatouille! Our food ended up being fun and creative and things that my husband and I actually wanted to eat on the day of our wedding!

The process was easy and they were also able to manage our party rentals through Danny Thomas so it was one more thing off our plate. Karen answered all of our questions, responded to all of my emails and happily made changes to our final menu to better fit our tastes and accommodate different dietary needs. They provided us with our bartenders too and even helped us come up with our signature cocktails for the day.

They set up everything beautiful and really took care of us and our guests. The food was delicious and our guests really enjoyed it. They even offered to pack us up some food to take back to the hotel at the end of the night. I would love the chance to work with them again in the future.

Karen and her crew are the best in the business! Karen did the catering for our wedding at Nestldown. She was so kind to welcome us into her home for our tasting and her food is excellent. My daughter’s wedding, held at Nestldown, was catered by Poetry in Motion in May, 2019. We were extremely disappointed in the food, the buffet presentation, and embarrassed in front of our guests. I will try to write a more detailed review in the near future, but, I wanted to at least get a basic review posted since it is a while since the wedding. My opinion is that this caterer should not be on Nestldown’s vendor list.

Karen made sure to prepare a menu that reflected us as a couple. She did not disappoint! I was in contact with Karen and Andrea throughout the planning process. On our wedding day, they also made sure to hunt us down to make sure we sat down to eat before our food got cold!! Everyone always tells you the day goes by so fast as the bride and groom.. and it really does!! I probably wouldn’t have had a chance if I was not reminded. They are extremely friendly and I loved working with them. I highly recommend Poetry in Motion to cater your event! Thank you all soooo much!!!
