We made a reservation, but when we arrived, we were told we had no table. I showed them the reservation confirmation and then I was told that's not a reservation. They then proceeded to tell me that this was a call ahead and not a reservation, whatever that means. Then we had to wait 15 minutes while the hostess and two other employees discussed this. We finally got a table, and the service was poor, don't know if they were understaffed, or just slow. Took 25 minutes to get a coffee. The place is a joke, and that's as nice as I can be.

My family and I visited BJ’s over the weekend and everything was fantastic. Our waiter Levi was very attentive and made sure we had all we needed. The Manger who introduced himself as Carlos also came to our table a couple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. He was professional and polite. I thought “The kids starter” for my six year old was special. It kept her tummy satisfied while we waited for our meal. Great idea!

Utensils were dirty and with sticky marks on them, we asked for new utensils which were also dirty, we had to use our napkins to wipe them clean.The bathroom was absolutely disgusting with food particles all over the sinks, like someone puked in them, and there was toilet paper all over the floor.Finally, the payment website does not work after scanning the QR code. Our server that was helping us out basically just shrugged and walked away after we told him the website wasn't working and we needed help.We waited 15 minutes before we just walked to the front desk to find someone to help us. Finally, the manager told us to use the app instead of the website. Never in my life have I had to download an app to pay my bill, however I would not have minded had it not been for everything else.I rarely leave reviews but this experience was genuinely horrific and I can only imagine the hygiene inside the kitchen.The special pizookie for Valentine's was the only redeemable thing of the night.

BJs West Covina feels like that ex boyfriend that you keep going back to after they let you down over and over again and you keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, but it's always the same end result. I've been going to this location for soooooo many years since they opened when I was a kid and it's finally time we part ways. Maybe I'm naive for expecting more out of their food but everything I've eaten the past (at least) 5 times I've gone always tastes like tv dinner that's probably been sitting in the freezer much longer than it should've. Apart from that, I wish I remembered our server's name because she was so polite (served us second half of our dining experience because first server's shift was over). But first server wasn't very attentive. She was sweet and all, and I understand it was busy. my son's Mac and cheese was served with our appetizer, which I requested. But between the time it took for us to get his meal, the time to get our servers attention to ask for utensils so he could eat his food, and the time that she finally returned to give us utensils, it had already been sitting untouched for a while and got cold. With that being said, the main reason I ever even visit is for the pizookies to crave my sweet tooth and it was burnt this evening. Not worth the wait and money.

Normally have a great experience here with our regular server who is a nice lady that always wears a bow in her hair. She's A+.Problem occurred today at 3pm on 1/30/24. Lady at the counter asked if we mind sitting at a table, I'm with a party of 2 young girls and declined and requested a booth. Mind you it's 3pm and the place is literally at less than 25% capacity and tables are open EVERYWHERE. She then tells, I can give you a half booth and again i kindly ask for a regular booth. She then says we don't have the staff to serve you. Ok..... I come here at least twice a month and spend at least $100 each visit. You don't want my business cause you aren't able to provide the proper staffing to serve customers? Sure thing buddy. We left and haven't decided if we are going to return in the future. Good luck BJs having people like this at the counter who are ignorant and unprofessional.Added info : customer service was kind and offered to fix the situation with a gift card. I just hope they remove or upgrade the person who is greeting the customers cause she's the face of your business and has no clue how to handle her job.

I was here with a few other folks and the service was really good, they came and checked with our entire party often, and for those that was their first time they made recommendations. We started with a few appetizers, the mozzarella sticks were good, the buffalo wings were a bit salty and the nachos could have used more chicken and cheese. The main dishes were all tasty. We ended our meal with the trio pizookie and the new strawberry shortcake was amazing, a must have. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

Came for a girls late lunch recently with our daughters in tow. As a mom sometimes you just need a drink (and the girls needed food). Usually, I come and have a beer but at our servers suggestion, this time decided on a couple of margaritas and they hit the mark. In my opinion what always makes a significant difference is the service! Our server Jose was amazing! He was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. I'm glad we went with his suggestions. Girls had spaghetti and meatballs while us "grown ups" munched on the avocado egg rolls and wings while sipping our margaritas! Everything came out together like we requested and Jose made a clear effort to attend to our needs. With so many chain options in the area, I'm glad we came here. If you find yourself in the area definitely stop by and be sure to ask to be seated in his section. He won't disappoint!
