King Torta has always been a treat for me. I loved their fresh Bolio with the powdery flour and fluffy insides. Their carnitas and their beans, with lettuce, onion, so yummy. I moved out of state for 4 years and recently came back to visit. I was excited to come here since I was in the area. I was sooooo disappointed. The kid on the counter was nice enough but the atmosphere it use to have is not there. He was just blah. Which is fine but you're at King Torta where you want that inviting atmosphere and someone to make you feel your at home and welcomed. I ordered a torta de carnitas. The carnitas weren't ready. So I went with something else. I got a Jamaica and I was ready to grub! The meat was nicely seasoned but the torta that I described in the beginning was not here. The Bolio was probably de telera. There was little to no beans. I was honestly so disappointed. King Torta is not what it used to be. I paid $18 for the torta and Jamaica. I felt it was overpriced. I'd pay $18 for the torta from like before they changed it up, but not this thing I got. The Jamaica was so bitterly sour, I drank it while I was eating but I threw it out after I was done. I didn't like it. I don't think I'd be coming back, if the food continues to be this subpar.

Don't know why I didn't check this place out sooner. Food is delicious. Looks like it's closed most of the time but took a chance and stopped by and glad I did. First time I had the carne asada tacos so flavorful and the next time had the super fries. Highly recommend if you're around.

This place has gotten very expensive in the past 6 months but I still love their langua burritos and I have to go and get one at least once a week. They have a small problem with customers though They just don't hardly have any when I walk in there every time I walk in there it's dead I don't know how they afford to pay their employees but I'm glad they're still there

I’m a huge critic with tacos. I was asked to go in with an open mind and their asada tacos did NOT disappoint!! Food came out quick, hot, and full of flavor. ZERO fat and loaded with meat. Worth the drive from La Verne! They have some new forever costumers!🤍🤍🤍 must try!!!
