Parents saw the newspaper ad about this place and I decided to tag along. Surprisingly, when we got there around 12pm on Saturday... there was only one elderly couple seated. It was just empty for a restaurant during lunch time on a weekend! Surprised... First look at the menu and I was like damnnn a bit expensive compared to other chinese restaurants... While waiting for food... 3 parties came...sat down, took a look at the menu and walked out when the owner went into the kitchen... lol. Food was okay, couple dishes were a bit bland for me. Would I come back? Probably not.

Came here for dan dan noodles and pop corn chicken and all the other stuff today that's shown here on yelp. But none of it is here. They said they changed the menu. Please update on yelp then very misleading.

Great Place to Eat The Food is Good

I hate giving such a low rating to a new establishment. However, I could not in good conscious give them a higher rating. Drove by and saw the grand opening sign...funny how I've never noticed this restaurant before. Checked on Yelp and they had a 4 1/2 star rating with over 100 reviews. Unbeknownst to me, I believe the rating was for the prior ownership. We came in around 11:30A. The restaurant was empty except for the server and cook. Hmmm... Maybe not the smartest decision I've made. The server came with menus and asked what would like to drink. Given it was a hot day...we asked for ice water. We were told the ice machine was broken. You would think they would have at least put water in the refrigerator to chill. Unfortunately this was not the case and the water was served a room temperature. Our server informed us they had just overhauled the menu. The menu selection was completely different from the prior owner. I asked for Beef Chow Fun. The server gave me a puzzled look...I guess she didn't understand what I wanted. She spoke limited English. I didn't see Chow Fun listed on the menu but I saw a pic posted on Yelp. I settled for Beef Chow Mein. The chow mein uses soy bean sprouts instead of bean sprouts. A bit different, but tasty never the less. We also ordered the Stewed Beef Noodle Soup and Won Ton in red chili sauce. The noodles were so spicy that they were barely edible. I thought that perhaps our server had made a mistake and ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle soup, but when I looked at our receipt, it said Stewed Beef Noodle Soup. The Wonton with red chili sauce was just boiled Wonton in red chili sauce. Not flavor but super spicy! If you like really spicy food, you'll probably enjoy this place. Otherwise I would take a pass.

Delicious and spicy Chinese dishes! The stews are rich and flavorful with no shortage of meats and veggies in them. I tried their stew with beef, lamb, and sole filet and it was definitely big enough for two, and spicy enough for three haha. In addition to that I ordered the A veggie dish and the spicy lamb bowl. Both were superb as well! With how hot the stew was the veggies complemented it nicely by cooling my mouth off 😅

I can't recommend this place enough!

Change in management made it a really disappointing place to dine. Not like before when the service was quick but with variety.

Was craving for some authentic Sichuan food lately and came to this place. I was craving for fish so I decided to go with boiling cyprinus caprio, along with griddle shrimp, gujie tingling spicy bullfrog, beef hot pot and veggie, dry fried string beans, with brown sugar rice cake for dessert. The food was authentic and you can feel the spicy ness, felt like I was in China eating these dishes. The waitress was very helpful and very friendly. The price is the best part, for authentic Sichuan food and the price, you can't go wrong! When I got here, they just finished a remodeling so I had to try it and I was not disappointed. I know this place still have a line just like any new authentic Chinese restaurant, I hope they adapt the yelp reservation system if that happens! Will come back and try other stuff.

Very pleasant restaurant with best Chineese food in Los Angeles, I absolutely recommend roasted fish, waiters are very professional and music is great.

Very distinct flavor from Cantonese & Mandarin cuisine, this place serves Szechuan dishes but with your Regular Cantonese favorites on their menu. Cleaner & brighter taste that is not overpowering. Will be back soon. This is their Grand Reopening from the previous management. Ok

The changed owner :(. I have always been very fond of this particular restaurant for its various of Dry Hot Pots, especially the Lamb Spine dry hot pot. However, when I showed up at lunch today I found out that they've changed owner and the quality of the dishes are far from what it used to be. The entire menu has been changed.

Around West Covina area if you are craving for Spicy Asian food probably I will suggest this place. Love their food and service. The only thing I take off one star because they close early. The kung fu corn is a simple dessert you must have.
