Pearl Island Restaurant is an incredible place to enjoy a delicious meal. The menu has something for everyone, featuring regional specialties from around the world. The dishes are artfully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors are bold and vibrant, with a range of spices used to tantalize the taste buds. Waiting time was more than 2 hours. We missed our lunch and half of the day was wasted as we were having our holidays in LA. They didn't have a menu. One fish lunch packet cost around $20. One lunch packet is enough for two adults and it's super spicy. Not only Kids, we all had a nightmare. The girl in the front desk is nice but not professional. We didn’t tip because of the worst customer service. We recommend kurrypinch if anyone is looking for good authentic Sri Lankan food and professional customer service.

Very delicious and spicy flavors, that reminds me of Indian and Thai food. I enjoyed the Egg Roti and Beef Rolls. Will definitely return. ?

If you are looking for authentic Sri Lankan food, this is the place. I love the aesthetic of the new place; it is very homey. Owners are very nice, and the pricing is good, especially with the large portions. Highly recommend!!

Best Sri Lankan food in SoCal. The godamba roti with chicken curry is amazing. And the faluda drink is very delicious, highly recommend it!

Pearl Island closed in West Hills, which was their original location. After that, there was a long silence. I kept waiting for a new announcement. It did not come for a while. I'm very patient. They say patience is virtue. I believe that it is a step way to rewards. And it finally materialized. I was delighted that Pearl Island, after a hiatus, opened up in Van Nuys. The service is still superb. high class, very friendly people. Then we have Taki, the always smiling, person with a bubbly personality....she offers superb customer service. Taki's Amma (mother in Sinhalese) is the powerhouse chef in the kitchen. Amma is also as friendly and charming as her daughter. For now, the menu offers a daily limited selection. Excellent short eats. It is all good ....see my pictures for fish rolls, egg and bacon pastries and egg and seeni sambol (spicy onion) pastries. Now ....what I am patiently waiting for is ....the revival of their unmatched, legendary and delicious weekly Friday night Sri Lankan Hopper Buffet.

I missed their food so much, i am so glad they opened again! Tried their Fried chicken Kothu Roti, it was very delicious. Can't wait till they have their buffets again. Best Sri Lankan food in town!!
They have re opened in Van Nuys on Sherman Way. E of Woodley next to Siam Cafe. Call first, this has no real sit down dining. Quality of food isnt what it was in West Hills & stuffed buns are dry. Included new pics Hands down the most authentic Sri Lankan cuisine outside of my Moms. Well priced, large portions, delicious curries, appetizers. The new location is in Van Nuys on Sherman Way E of Woodley next to Siam Cafe.Parking: Very few
