This place is a disaster. I do not recommend at all. Once we ordered our food, it took literally about 45 minutes for them to bring the food out, and that was after I had to flag down a different server, because our server never came back to the table, AT ALL! Also, might I mention, he mentioned a special that they had and we ordered it but 30 minutes later, he mentioned that they were out and we had to roar something else. I had the chicken caesar salad. The chicken was very dry and bland, It tastes like the chicken was just placed on the stove plain and sprinkled in salt and pepper. The caesar dressing was very sour and not delicious. I did not want to pay for this meal because it was not worth it. I'm very disappointed and upset.

Reservation at 8 and we have a party of 3. Entree came out at 9:58pm.. Everything was so bland. The ceasar salad's dressing was really sour, and the chicken was ridiculously dry. Very mediocre filet mignon, it was not juicy, and we had to put salt on everything ourselves. Our server never came back to check on us after we ordered. We had to ask other server to even get the check for us. All we wanted was to get out of here but of course there was also a glass of wine that we did not order in the check..

So all I have to say is that Rudy- the manager- does not know how to treat his guests. This place does not deserve your time nor your money. Many other places in town that are better, much better. Go anywhere else, like burger king, you will have a much better experience.

Walked by today and saw a sign on the side door that said the kitchen was closed due to "maintenance". Was it actually closed due to an infestation like a nearby restaurant that was recently shut down by the health department? What also caught my eye was the stained curtains with dead bugs on them. Absolutely disgusting (pls see photos).

The best octopus I’ve ever eaten. So tender and goes through a 48 hour process.

I have always enjoyed having dinner at Ago. The mushroom risotto is my favorite in Los Angeles. BUT! Tonight after enjoying my Mushroom Risotto I tried their chocolate torte, it was very dry, the crust and chocolate tasted old like it had been left unprotected in a refrigerator for too long. And judging by the extra large piece, nearly twice the size of the other slices of tarts that were served at our table it would seem they were trying to get rid of it. When the waiter eventually made it back to our table I told him that the chocolate tart tasted old. I told him I was not saying that it was old, just that it tasted old. I told him that three of us had tried it and all three of us did not like it. He said "what do you want me to do about it?". Please notice the quotation marks in that last sentence. He actually said "what do want me to do about it?" I told him that I wanted him to take it off of the bill. Sadly I was not paying for the meal as I was a guest, so I was unable to confirm that he took it off of the bill. But it gets BETTER!! The waiter, returning with the bill for our party of seven, told me that he "took the chocolate torte back to the kitchen and spoke with the Pastry Chef and the pastry chef assured him that it was made three days earlier. Then the waiter claimed that he tried it along with the pastry chef and several of the other waiters and they all said it tasted PERFECT. He then went on to tell me that it's been the same recipe for many years. In fact, he told me, in the seven years he as worked there there has only been one complaint, and then pointing at me he said it was I that was the only one that had complained in his seven years of working at Ago. While it is understandable that something prepared in a restaurant may not turn out as the chef would like, it is outrageous when a waiter is so rude and disrespectful to a guest. I am astonished that he has been able to hold that job for so long. But it would go a long way in explaining why Ago is less than half full on a Saturday night at 8pm. While I will miss their Mushroom Risotto I will not return to Ago and subject myself to such disrespectful and rude service. By the way you would be hard pressed to find a pastry chef making Pastries at 9pm as they primarily work during the day most starting early in the morning. After leaving Ago, the 13 year old commented how rude he thought the waiter's response was. I could not agree more. He didn't like the chocolate torte either!

The only good about the restaurant is people who work there. This my first negative review EVER! The food is gross, over salted, not tasty, not fresh. Even the desert was disgusting! I felt sick while still dining. No, no, no! A total rip off....Sad

This restaurant owner is Robert De Niro. The manager was brilliant. Not a cheap restaurant as you can imagine. The food was impeccable and very good quality. The bar tender was superb give him a request and he can make the most amazing mix of cocktail with the taste you imagined.

Absolutely adore this place!! The food is amazing, my husband and I have a couple of favorites, the penne arrabbiata that are off the menu, the mussles and the spaghetti alla vongole. Desserts didn't blow me away, but the food is incredible and the service is wonderful, they have great people working here. Definitely recommend!

Ago has such a nice ambiance and intimate vibe for a dinner for 2 or a party of 12! I recently planned an engagement dinner for my good friends. Samantha was so helpful with setting it up for me and making sure we had the cutest customized placement cards for each guest. Our table for 12 was set up on the north side of the outside patio area which worked out perfectly! I was able to come a little early to decorate our table with red roses and balloons. Their menu has so many great Italian selections from seafood spaghetti, grilled salmon, to caprese and fried seafood and vegetable appetizer options... overall a wonderful dining experience and a memorable celebration with my close friends. Thank you again to Samantha, you're the best! ;)

Absolutely delicious! And the staff are SO welcoming and friendly! I highly recommend the calamari salad from the antipasti. Wow! Sitting outside with the lights and intimate environment is a perfect place for date night. Incredible wine selection too!! One of my favorites.

Haven't been to this place in a while, I had dinner here on a Saturday night I must say this place used to be so much better, the quality of food wasn't that great I ordered the Chilean sea bass and it smelled so fishy and tasted like it was in the freezer for a while. But when I told them they told me to choose any other dish or to remake this one, I ordered the salmon instead and that wasn't great too. It's sad to see such a good restaurant become so tasteless. Great service though hostess, manager and waiters who seemed like they were still training were friendly.
