We love Shoei’s sushi!!! And his wonderful wall art celebrating the art of jazz; his refined and witty clientele; and only wish to have him open a restaurant in Las Vegas where we now live. We fly back here just to eat at Ajisai!!!

They have been here forever. And there is a reason for that - some of the freshest sushi you can find. The owners are lovely people. And they cut no corners - if the fish they find that day isn't up to their standards they simply won't put it on the menu. You never know what kind of fish they may have on any one day.I go twice a week sometimes. All their cooked food is fantastic as well.Awesome all the way around.

Shoei is the best sushi chef in all of Los Angeles! Really have never been disappointed coming here. Call ahead and order scallop for yourself because it is definitely the best thing on the menu and they sell out fast.

I didn't know what to believe from all the other reviews, but I was coming up from Huntington Beach and meeting friends from far out in the Valley. We wanted a good dinner spot, somewhere we could make a reservation at before our show at the Troubador! This restaurant worked out so well! They were super responsive to the email through Yelp for reservations. I only made them the night before, and even had to push them back once. They were so accommodating. I was surprised that there weren't more patrons at the restaurant! Everything we ordered was perfect- and we've had our share of sushi experiences! The garlic albacore was to die for, all the sushi tasted fresh and at perfect temperature to melt in your mouth. I could not have been happier with the service. Our waitress, the hostess, the sushi chefs....everyone was super friendly and courteous. Thanks for helping our night be perfect Ajisai!!! If we get back to WeHo soon, we know where to go! For real!!

Amazing, very fresh sushi and I love the jazzy & cozy atmosphere. Got the albacore sushi and mr. trump roll and both were delicious. They also have tamari and were able to modify dishes to accommodate my gluten sensitivity.Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free friendly

Really cute unassuming spot for sushi that literally melts in your mouth and no- thats not a metaphor.I wish I had taken pictures because the beautiful presentation only added to how tender the fatty salmon was and how delicious my eel roll came out!Tamago was a little sweeter than I’m used to, but the actual seafood/sushi was devine

A wonderful little restaurant with quality food and service. All the food we had was delicious and the atmosphere was nice with the jazz music playing and items scattered around. Food came fast and our server was nice. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area.

Great big rolls and very fresh fish. The service was friendly and welcoming. Called ahead and held a table for us and had it ready when we got there. Cute and small restaurant with good food I'd recommend to anyone.

Top three fav sushi spots in West Hollywood that’s not overdone— it’s like literally the perfect neighborhood sushi spot. Casual, but still good ambiance— really good balance! The sushi is really yummy (my favorite is albacore with the chili garlic sauce - it's so good that my friend and I came 2 days in arow for them!, and all of the rolls are super fresh and delicious.) Not one bite of fish was off!Super nice owners (extra special bc they're a mother son duo). They also speak Korean!

Love this adorable, classic sushi restaurant. It's right on Palm across the street from Santa Palm Car Wash. Inside it feels a bit like Little Tokyo because it's very cozy and looks like an authentic Japanese sushi place with bamboo frames, yellow walls and some Japanese decorations. Nothing flashy here, and it's really charming. The rolls are fantastic. I love the names of the rolls... the Bill Clinton roll is my favorite. Great bottomless iced green tea. Be sure to make a reservation because they don't have many tables inside and they get booked up. Was lucky and just walked in today when it was not busy. My favorite seat is the table for two by the window. Great place for a date! There's metered parking on the street, or try the paid lot just to the west or one of the West Hollywood parking structures...one is a 5 minute walk east.
