We booked this place months in advance to celebrate Galentines based on the aesthetically pleasing photos online. We were disappointed to arrive and be seated on the outskirts of the restaurant, where none of the decor could be seen. Our view was the host, the ramp to lift those who can't walk up the stairs, and the outside door to the kitchen. Furthermore, the day was chilly and the table we were seated at had no heater and we were told we could not move. Mind you, it was 6 ladies and 1 newborn baby girl celebrating Galentines. All of us were very nicely dressed but unfortunately the most we were able to see of the restaurant and its beautiful decor was when we needed to use the restroom. The service was not great either. Our server only came by every once in a while. We had to ask twice for pancake syrup and nobody came by to refill our water jug. Overall, it is not somewhere I would return to.

The check-in process was painfully inefficient, one struggling hostess managing an insanely long line that barely moved. We were seated on the outskirts outside and asked if the heater could be turned on. When it didn't work, our waitress told us to “put up with it”, quickly followed up with “you can make do.” which felt dismissive and unprofessional. It wasn't so much the heater not working, things happen, but the lack of care or effort to make it right. Her unprofessional remarks continued through out the experience. To top it off, our check was brought out before all of our food had even arrived, which made the whole experience feel rushed and uncomfortable. Overall, the vibes were just off, strange, unwelcoming, and disappointing. Definitely not what we expected! Food was good, but service drowned the experience completely.

Horrible time service was horrible went for Valentine's Day waited a hour just to get in even though I had a reservation at 8:45 and when got in no one helped us at all.

Great place, ambiance was there, food was amazing and the flowers everywhere were beautiful! Service could have been better, long wait times for food, rude server.

This was the worst experience I've had dining quite possibly ever. The staff were amazing and doing everything they could to better everyone's experience and I feel for them. The restaurant allowed for major over booking. Our reservation was at 9:15 and we were not seated at a table until 10:30 after begging for any open spot. When we were finally seated our waiter was so kind and got to us immediately. This was a fixed menu for Valentine's Day. We never received the first course. The second course arrived first and was delicious. Then 10 minutes after that we received dessert. No main no first course. We ended up boxing up the whole thing and leaving. Really sad this was a Valentine's Day celebration and birthday celebration and we were really disappointed.

Reservation was at 9:15 didn't get seated until 1 hour and half later, people with no reservation got seated first. After we got seated we still had to wait 40-50 mins before we placed our order. Food was good just wish service was better. Did feel unappreciated or neglected at this place.

I am giving this a 1-star rating. However, I want to emphasize that the servers and receptionists were very kind and were not rude in any way. The issue was simply that the overall experience was awful. Reservation: I went to Arden on Valentine's Day with a reservation for 8:45 PM, but I wasn't seated until 10:50 PM. I had to ask about our table several times; it was only when we were finally about to leave that a table "magically" opened up. What is the point of making a reservation? To make matters worse, I spoke with the people at the table next to us who had the same issue, but they were seated before us despite their reservation being at 9:15 PM. Food & Service: It took 15 minutes for a server to greet us, as they were clearly swamped. Once we started the Valentine's course, we didn't receive our drinks until we had finished the first dish. That dish—the grilled octopus—wasn't even warm. We also never received our appetizer until we asked about it. They mentioned they had run out of the original appetizer and gave us a replacement, but the fact that we had to ask was frustrating. Would we have received anything at all if we hadn't spoken up? Dessert: By the time we finished, it was already midnight, so we asked for our dessert to-go. When we got home, the dessert looked unappetizing and tasted like soap; we ended up throwing it away. Honestly, this was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Management needs to learn how to properly pace a dining room and realize when they need to stop accepting reservations and walk-ins.

This place is super beautiful and photogenic. Food is delicious and the service is attentive. Our server, Marina, is amazing and all the dishes she recommended are really tasty. There are tons of the spots inside the restaurant for the "IG proved" photos. My bestie and I had a wonderful time for the early holiday celebration. Thank you.

My daughter went with 4 friends for her birthday and had great service. She felt very taken care of.

We had a reservation for 6:30pm on Thanksgiving, it took us over 1 hour to get our first course, then an hour after that to get our entree, and then another 30 minutes to get dessert. We sat at the table from 6:30-9:30 pm. The food was not as advertised - no capers or lemon on the branzino. Luckily our waiter was amazing, and was wonderful to us the entire time. We unfortunately will not be returning to this restaurant any time soon

Went for Thanksgiving- the kitchen was obviously backed up so I know some people got frustrated but the experience for us was wonderful. We had great service from our waiter and it's really a beautiful restaurant.

Decor is beautiful, nice bar. Good good/nice portions. Not a big whiskey selection but great “mock tails”. Service was good. Only 3 bathrooms (men, women &all gender) so always a line. Need more people in Valet- you have to double park and wait for Valet (not a very safe thing to do on Santa Monica Blvd)

PÉSIMO SERVICIO. LLEGAMOS PUNTUALES Y LA HOSTESS NO ESTABA EN SU SITIO. TARDO MUCHO EN PASARMOS. EL MENÚ A LAS 3:00 pm es BÁSICAMENTE DESAYUNOS. LUGAR SUCIO Y VIEJO. NADA QUE CER CON LAS FOTOS QIUE VIENEN EN LA PLATAFORMA. YO IBA A FESTEJAR EL CUMPLEAÑOS DE MI HIJA, ME TUVE QUE SALIR. PERO LA MESERA COMENTÓ QUE TENÍAMOS QUE PEDIR SI O SI PLATILLOS FUERTES LOS TRES O KOS COBRABAN 25 dólares POR PERSONA. PÉSIMO SERVICIO. NUNCA VOLVERÍA. PESIIMA EXPERIENCIA.

The restaurant was not at all like it is depicted in the Instagram reels. It was old and outdated and not elegant at all. It's a very casual place. But expensive.
