Several years ago (2010 ish) I came upon this place while staying across the street at The Stand. It filled everything I needed and a great time was had. Looks like it is lost to the wind. So long fair well and be good.

I was sitting down and she went around the table and took everyone's order except mine. I had to chase her down to give her my order. I was literally in front of her face. F*** this place never again. Terrible customer service. The margaritas are watered down.

It's a no for me. Very underwhelming. Two stars because the food was at least ok. We wanted to go to C&O trattoria that was across the street but they moved locations so we settled for Cabo Cantina because we were all starving. We came around 7pm (happy hour) so we were asking about drinks to our server and my cousin asked him if the watermelon margarita tastes like a jolly rancher or like a fresh watermelon flavor and he was completely rude to her and said "this is a dive bar in Venice, you're over thinking it, it's not going to be some fresh watermelon" It made us uncomfortable. He didn't have to be rude for her asking a valid question. We got nachos as an appetizer and it was ok. It wasn't warm at all and the chicken tasted like frozen chicken. I feel like nice and warm this would be good. My boyfriend and I both got the salads and they tasted fine but it wasn't what was on the menu. We both were missing the fire roasted corn and the lettuce is listed as mixed greens and cabbage and we got romaine and cabbage. When we asked for a side of corn we got canned corn. The steak on my salad was nice and the dressing is really good. My cousin got the steak fries and it was decent too. She said 6/10 she liked the fries and steak.

DONT GO HERE, UNLESS YOU WANT UNESPECTED CHARGES TO YOUR CARD ! My boyfriend and I came to Cabo Cantina in Hollywood. Waited half an hour to be seated. Waitress, white, skinny blonde hair, took our order. We asked for one drink, 2 waters. She brought our 1 drink, never our water. She said she needed a card for the tab even thoe we weren't keeping it open, she kept it the whole hour and a half we were there. She never brought us waters, until I had to ask again. Never checked back up on us if we wanted food or more drinks. We asked for the check, she brought her iPad. I gave her no tips, she took my card out her pocket and gave it back. An hour after we left, I got charges for $7000 fendi (but only 2,800 went through cause of my credit limit) $630 for skin care products in Canada, and $15 for Ipsy make up. This b**** obviously took pics of my card the whole time, had it saved, waited till we left and charged my card! Cabo cantina won't answer my phone calls, won't return my emails, or dm. Don't go there unless you wanna get scammed!

So I love the drinks and I actually really enjoy the food but I will say this place needs to take more safety precautions by the bathroom area. It's pretty tight and there's a lot going on since it's right by the kitchen and back door (so lots of busers running back and forth) plus it's dark. I slipped while leaving the bathroom area due to the floor being a bit wet and there wasn't any sort of wet sign. And no I wasn't drunk I was actually the only sober one and the DD. If I was drunk it probably would have been worse because I wouldn't have reacted the way I did and I probably would have came out with something worse than a bruise on my knee. Still love this place but let's just practice better safety procedures!

Just turned 21 this year and I decided to try out this place while they were open for dine in for a short period of time , and it was great. Their food is delicious and the margaritas were great as well. The asada fries were my favorite. Will be back when dine in is an option again.

Staff seemed not present in a bad way. It was my friends birthday and they didnt even tell him happy birthday or sing to him like they said they would....if you like dive bars with watered down drinks, this is your place. We even pretty much had to beg for the check to leave.

Why do I still come here? Food is great but the service lacks and there's ZERO hospitality. 9 minutes to greet me, another 6 minutes for a beverage, no silverware or napkins to eat my meal and not one time did she return until I asked for the bill. The server just threw my check on the table and walked away without saying a word, not even a thank you.
