My husband and I dined here for the very first time on Christmas Eve. We were genuinely excited and both worked double shifts all week so we could afford what we hoped would be a special holiday dinner. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
We were seated at what was easily the worst table in the restaurant and were largely ignored by the wait staff throughout the evening. Despite ordering before several nearby tables, we watched food being delivered to others around us while we waited, without explanation or acknowledgment.
As frustrating as that was, it unfortunately turned out to be the least of the issues that evening. The most serious and alarming problem occurred after my husband ordered the “sushi pizza.” Approximately 15 minutes after consuming it, he became violently ill. His condition worsened so quickly that we were forced to leave our dinner abruptly and go directly to Cedars-Sinai. He spent the entirety of Christmas Day in the emergency room and suffered from severe food poisoning for nearly three days, missing Christmas entirely.
Out of genuine concern for other guests, I later emailed the Catch Group to inform them of the incident and urged them to pull the item so no one else would be harmed. As of today, no one has responded or even acknowledged what occurred.
Between the poor service, the unsafe food, and the complete lack of follow-up, this experience was extremely upsetting. I would strongly advise others to stay clear.

Went to Catch for dinner on NYE for their $150 prix fixe. Easily one of the bottom three meals I had all year.
The truffle sashimi featured decent fish but was completely overwhelmed by truffle and salt. We then waited 30 minutes for the next course, an inedible spinach salad, so aggressively seasoned with truffle and salt that it was the only dish all year I genuinely wanted to spit out. It felt like a kitchen mistake, I suspect it was accidentally dressed with the truffle soy meant for the sashimi, as I can’t imagine the salad was intended to be prepared that way.
We didn’t touch the pasta, it looked like reheated gas-station macaroni. The branzino itself was fairly good, but the risotto beneath it was not. The shrimp dish was downright awful, massively over-fried and tasted closer to Panda Express than a high-end restaurant.
The interior is also in rough shape and looks like it’s overdue for a multi-million-dollar renovation.
For the price, the quality is indefensible. I’d be shocked if this place survives much longer.

Our party was a group of 3. Checked in, waited in the bar area for about 20 minutes. The restaurant has good atmosphere, drinks are well made.
Finally got our table and the server greeted us and asked us what kind of water we want. About 15 minutes passed server hadn’t come back and hadn’t received our water. It seemed like our server Julianne was not there. We had to repeat our order, she was absent through out our whole dining experience.
Our entrees came before the appetizer. When we told her she simply said “oh, well do you still want them or you want me to take them off” we decided to take them off. She Never apologized.
Never brought our steak knives, we had to ask the service assistant. Never brought our steak sauce. We noticed she only had 2 tables, ours and the one next to us and she still couldn’t keep up. Overall, we won’t be coming back.
Forgot to mention, when she came to our table the first time she dropped another’s table credit card. She don’t even noticed till we told her. Very absent minded.

I really liked the ambience but a certain server was so rude when I asked for a minty drink. She had short hair. This was last Friday over a party.

Catch LA was a restaurant I’d wanted to experience for nearly 10 years, and I finally made it happen. It lived up to every expectation I had built up in my head.
I went for a solo dinner, and from the atmosphere to the waitstaff to the food, everything was absolutely incredible. I started with the Catch Roll and the Surf & Turf Roll, followed by the Wagyu dumplings, and finished with the New York strip. I also ordered a strawberry spritz, which was absolutely massive and paired perfectly with the meal. I wanted dessert, but I honestly couldn’t move afterward.
The meal ended up being a couple hundred dollars, but you truly get what you pay for — incredible food paired with an unforgettable environment.
Whether you’re going solo, out with friends, or hosting a business dinner, this is the place to go. The noise level is moderate, so expect some energy and conversation in the room, but the food makes it more than worth it.

Catch on Melrose was a fantastic experience! The rooftop ambiance is absolutely stunning—super chic and the perfect vibe. The service was so warm and genuinely attentive.
The food was exceptional. We loved the addictive Crispy Shrimp and the classic Caesar. The Parmesan Truffle Fries were a decadent must-have. My Center-Cut Filet with Kabayaki sauce was cooked perfectly and was unbelievably tender. The Miso Glazed Sea Bass was a highlight, too—melt-in-your-mouth buttery with that perfect sweet glaze.
Honestly, a wonderful blend of atmosphere, top-notch service, and seriously delicious food.

Not worth the money. Quality of food is poor. Totally different experience as it was when the restaurant was just opened. Not planning to come back.

Fantastic restaurant! The sea bass was incredible, the tuna rice crispy was outstanding, and I could have done without the king crab roll. The ribeye was also superb, and there was a great selection of drinks as well.
When we got the there they made us wait a bit because our table was not ready even though we were 15 mins late. But when we walked the restaurant there were a bunch of empty tables. When our waiter came to greet us she told us we had to order everything at once because it was complicated to put one order one at a time (again empty restaurant) The food and and drinks were great! I recommend the sashimi pizza and the crispy shrimp. Besides the poor service everything else was good.
The food was amazing and the drinks were delicious. 100% recommended, and the atmosphere was absolutely spectacular.
Great staff! Great service! Great food! Thank you for working the holidays we appreciate you and your hard work!
