The service was good, the quality of food was average, and there was no ambience. Lack of interior in the dining area but the walkway was pretty through the hotel garden. Over all, it was an average experience.

The waiters were awesome! Got to meet one of the chefs and the food was good!

I just think for the amount we paid for the fixed menu on Valentines Day I could've gotten way more food. There also weren't many options to chose from. Service was outstanding but I didn't care for the food

Hidden gem here at Sunset Marquis! We stayed 3 days here at the property the restaurant was a stones throw away from our villa and it did not disappoint! The breakfast each morning was top notch, and the service as well. They really know how to take care of their hotel guests. No matter what request we threw at them. I cannot wait to return to the property, and this restaurant.

Being a regular here, this was the first time I was disappointed in food. Salmon was undercooked & mediocre flavor wise. Beef was average. First average meal experience here in years.

My friend and I sat for a quick drink but ended up staying for several hours due to the wonderful service and ambience of the place. The indoor/outdoor bar setting is perfect. Already looking forward to returning in the new year on my next visit.

Cavatina at the Sunset Marquis is one of the hidden gems of West Hollywood, nestling just beneath the Sunset Strip. Anyone I've brought there is surprised at how this quiet oasis could exist out of sight of the hustle and bustle of Sunset Boulevard just above.

I went to a party at Cavatina last month to celebrate a visiting author after a reading at Book Soup. I don't know how the place is as a regular bar/restaurant, but the lounge was a really nice venue for a private event. I'd guess there were about 30 people in attendance, and we filled the space well, though I think it could've accommodated a group double our size. It felt relaxing and luxurious, especially for a bunch of book people. There was an open bar and a huge spread of snacks, which I assume were provided by Cavatina. I tried both of the signature drinks, which were made in tribute to the author's new book. One was made with Barbancourt rum, banana, bell pepper, and Ancho Reyes, the other with Barbancourt rum, lime juice, hibiscus syrup, and pistachio. Both were good, but the second was especially delicious, and I wonder if some version of it has a more permanent home on the menu. I also enjoyed a negroni.Cavatina is the hotel restaurant for the Sunset Marquis, and I'm sure it's a great option if you're a guest or otherwise looking for a place to eat on the Sunset Strip. I live in town and the Strip is inconvenient, so I don't know that I'll make it back for a meal, but I'd be happy to go for post-Book Soup drinks, doubly so if someone else is paying.

High quality restaurant hidden in the heart of the Marquis Hotel with a rock star atmosphere where I personally had a great stake with a side of tomato and some macaroons dessert. Valet parking is also very friendly and it $10 with parking

They failed to mentioned they were doing a private event that had endless speeches when I booked reservation. I've been coming to Sunset Marquis for years and it's debatable if I'll be back. The menu changed and food was just ok and for that the value wasn't great. They also brought out our mains as we we just started our appetizers. Service was so poor and the the server was not trained well. She brought the check without us asking. She wasn't nice. They started breaking down the private event as were finishing our dessert. We were treated so poorly and other customers were clearly as annoyed as we were. A place I used to hold in high regard has lost its shine.

The food is good. I am never disappointed however it always take a long time to get our order. This time it was especially long. The service was nothing special but the atmosphere is great, the food is tasty , and if you are not in a hurry, the place is lovely.
