This place has been recommended so many times, but unfortunately we left disappointed by the service. First, our first round of drinks took a long time. Strange, but sure, it’s a Friday night. After a hot minute, our server (Mitchell) comes over to take the menus. But we haven’t ordered the food yet. We were a table of six, and we ended up having one single menu, and three setups. We finally ordered - a salad, and two burgers. The salad came out 15 minutes before the burgers. The burgers came out 1 HOUR after we put the order in. I get it’s a Friday night, but 2 burgers don’t take an hour to come out. Mitchell never checked on us to make sure the food was good or that we were having a good time. When we finally caught his attention he was never friendly. We were hit with a 20% gratuity fee, and when we asked for the manager to come over, Mitchell came running pretending to be the manager. He rudely asked me what can he do for us, expecting me to come with solutions to my “complaints”. Then he proceeded to smile for the first time the whole night, to say there is nothing he can do. We had high hopes, but we won’t be coming back.
I also want to mention, the place was not overbooked or completely full. We were placed by a door, which was kept open, which made us feel cold. After asking to close the door multiple times, we were left unheard. Nobody offered to move us to a more comfortable table, especially given that there were tables open around us. The food was good, but the experience was not worth the taste.

Food menu is extremely limited but I suspect people don't go here for a culinary experience, rather to just have a few drinks.

I really wanted to like this place more because it’s in such a cool corner location right on Sunset but everything was a bit forgettable.
Starting with the drinks. The espresso martini and old fashioned were pretty average - not bad or anything but just nothing I’d order again.
I was expecting more from the burger and fries but they just tasted like your average bar food.
I wish I could give them a higher rating because our bartender was friendly but nothing here was memorable or above average unfortunately. Judging from some of the reviews maybe the quality has gone down because they have some great reviews so was expecting more.

So so good! Their basic house salad had a very clean, delicious taste with a lemon vinaigrette. We also got a cheese pizza and 10/10 would recommend. Was a thin crust pizza but good crispy crust, not too thin. I got a strawberry spritz, non-alcoholic drink that was fresh and my friend got the Espresso Martini. I'd never tried one before but had a sip and will absolutely get it next time, very smooth. The bartender was nice and attentive.

I was very impressed as I walked in past the stylish bar and we were seated inside late in the evening. It was easy to hear each other (very important to me) and the almost perfect soft lighting and decor was ambient and pleasant.
As we started reviewing the menu I was impressed to see two small rechargeable lamps on the backs of our booth so moved them to the table where all 5 of us were switching our aggressive phone lights on to try to read the small texted menus.
I was flabbergasted when one of the staff removed the lights from our table pretty aggressively and told me the lights were only meant for decor. I explained we couldn't read the menus in the lighting and he simply reassured me I should use my phone and could leave if I wanted to. I requested to speak to the manager to which he explained he was the manager. I left the table to speak to him directly and respect my friends and his solution was to offer me the door again.
Not sure about my friends but I found the spaghetti Arrabiata to have well cooked spaghetti, great portion size (not too big) but it didn't have much flavor except salty and spicy.
Overall the prices seemed very reasonable, the wait staff attentive and I really enjoyed the experience, save the lighting saga.
I looked to speak to the manager as we left to see if he had anything more to say to me, alas he was nowhere to be seen.
I'd easily give this place a 4 or 5 star rating for all the other reasons but in my life I've never had an experience like this in the 30+ countries I've been to.
I highly recommend a customer service course for the manager.
