Delicious breakfast đŸ„ž. We had the Flippers (Japanese souffle style with fruit. And the ricotta lemon pancakes. Both light, fluffy and not overly sweet.

I would not wish any breakfast companion in the world but you. Without further delay let’s begin this spectacular review.

Flipper’s is a popular local breakfast spot in WeHo that offer a breadth of items. It is located in a tiny plaza on Fairfax avenue. From Japanese style soufflĂ© pancakes to chicken ‘n waffle to burgers and fries and toasts etc.

We came as first time customer and arrived on a late sunny morning. Its exterior bldg has a vibrant yellow that really stands out on the street. Interior and exterior atmosphere were relaxing. I had a Fruit Pancakes and OJ. Both were absolutely delightful. Pancakes were soft and fluffy and its fruits were fresh as well as my OJ. A young white female staff was affable and warm.

Service was spot on albeit depends on what you order. For instance, soufflĂ© pancakes take ~20 mins to make. It’s just how they’re made. Prices were fairly marked. Parking lot and street metered parking are available. Collectively, it is a nice little breakfast spot with instagramable food. ;D Lol.

Overall, I bloody enjoyed their pancakes! I recommend them.

Food was good, but the service was extremely disappointing. We were a group of four, and the waitress insisted that she could only seat two of us at the bar and two at a separate table. When we asked why we couldn’t sit together outside, especially since the weather was clear, she said they wouldn’t have anywhere to move us “if it rains,” even though the forecast showed no rain.

Her tone throughout the conversation was rude and dismissive. Later, when we had finished eating and were quietly talking, she came over and rushed us out, saying other people were waiting for seats.

We came here for a nice meal, but the attitude and lack of courtesy from this waitress really ruined the experience. Good food doesn’t make up for poor customer service.

Rude service. Gave us dirty looks once we left. Chicken was also a bit pink.

Place is crap once you've been to the original in Japan (souffle pancakes also originate from Japan, despite them having a French name). Way cheaper in Japan, too. I paid maybe $12 for everything TOTAL in Japan compared to $30 here. And it tastes better. Plus, all the Japan locations are open till 8pm; I think one of them is even open till 8:30pm. This one closes at like 3 or 4pm. Some people like to have breakfast foods in the evenings so this should change.

My bf and I live around the corner and finally tried this place. They close at 4 we got there around 2:45. There was a good amount of covered outdoor seating which worked for us, the inside had a bartop and seemed like limited tables, maybe 3. We shared the flippers original soufflĂ© pancake a side of x crispy bacon and eggs Benedict. It took about 15 mins (as expected) and worth the wait. The texture was amazing and the maple cream was so good. It wasn’t too sweet and we both agreed it didn’t need extra syrup which was provided on table. I also got the “springtime” mimosa ($13) which was supposed to be peach but it tasted like a regular mimosa to me. The service was attentive maybe a little rushed as they were breaking down to close but understandable. Though they did seat a 6 top around 3:45 so maybe they aren’t too strict on that. They seem to have an issue with flies as they were literally flying everywhere but they have some fans on tables to help with that. We will be back for the soufflĂ© pancake but likely won’t order cocktails.

Flippers is great! Went on a Saturday morning around peak brunch time and we didn’t even have to wait for a table & food came out quickly. Price is a tiny bit high but it’s a unique trendy food and it’s LA so not unexpected. Definitely recommend!

I love this place. My first time here I lost my glasses. They started to help me look for them using the camera. They went above and beyond. I cant believe they would go as far as that to help me!
