Good service, very wide menu choices, many of which can be made vegan. Simple, tasty food, good value, generous portions.
This was a great experience love the vibe the service was amazing. Really recommend 👌

I have gone to Hugo's for over 20 years and, unfortunately, it has really declined in food quality. Lots of items that I use to like are pretty mediocre, and, to paraphrase the old Woody Allen joke, the portions are smaller. Service is friendly and the restaurant is comfortable but I will be going much less often.
I was there picking up food in the rain, and a woman from hugo's ran outside and into the street to hand a customer, who had driven off, their wallet. that's pretty good.
Hmmm, I have mixed feelings about this place—maybe because I ordered takeout instead of dining in. I got a sandwich on sourdough and wasn’t a huge fan; it was pretty bland and lacked flavor. I also tried a protein smoothie, which was just okay but tasted a bit watered down. Overall, nothing really stood out to me, and I’m not sure I’d come back or recommend it.

The variety of the menu is unmatched. All delicious. I've been going here for almost 40 years, never disappointed.
I really like this place and good service and food!!
Always a good time at Hugo's. Love the wide ranging menu so everybody can find something they like. And the food is reliably good. Katya did a great job taking care of us yesterday because we had to get in and out to a concert after dinner. good times!

Hugo's is always amazing! Absolutely love the food here, and love that my dairy-free husband and gluten-free self don't have to suffer with lack of good things to eat. It's so nice to be in a place where the entire menu is accessible to us. Love the holiday specials they have. Wait staff is always lovely to deal with.
They always play the music so loud. It's as though they never realize that some people come to converse, not to listen to music they don't like, or seasonal Christmas music, of which they already have an overabundance.
The potato pancake are unreal. Loved our brunch here, would definitely recommend!

Had the Desayuno Fuerte my favorite Hugo's breakfast but it's no longer what it used to be. Eggs and potatoes were both overcooked. Disappointing. Probably won't return.
I'm sure Hugo's has a million reviews. We haven't been in years, for no reason, but last night assures that we'll make it regularly from now on. Home cooking is probably the best way to describe the food (fabulous French Onion Soup) as well as the feeling inside. It's just such a nice comfortable place. They have acoustic panels on the ceiling so you can actually talk, and thank goodness, because we had memorable conversations with our neighbors on each side.
