I have to give it 3 stars because although our server was so accommodating and a total sweetheart the greeter or the lady who sat us down was a total rude b. We had reservations The view is amazing but be prepared to be confronted by a stuck up and just ugly person. Once we managed to be seated and the server managed to brush her off because she was so rude and condescending to us the experience was nice. The servers and guys who pick up plates are so nice and so sweet. Service is everything! I do recommend this place just be aware and try not to let the witch of the Wild West get to you. Enjoy your time.

This is a bit of a tough one to rate. On one hand, Ivory on Sunset establishes one of the most scenic dining experiences I've ever had in Los Angeles. There are beautiful views of the L.A. basin and at night, it's just lights way off into the distance. Stunning. The layout and design of the restaurant is also very carefully thought out, elegant, yet casual at the same time and very comfortable. It's not tightly packed so I wasn't really even aware of the other dinner guests in the area but was easily able to focus on the colleagues I was with for a business dinner. Exactly what I want in a restaurant.Beyond that, it's really just a 3 star-er (is that even a word?!) Although our server was friendly and helpful, she had a British accent which felt like it kept falling apart so I couldn't tell if she was actually British or not, or maybe had lived in the US a long time? I was there with some colleagues from the UK and it was their comment exactly that they couldn't place her accent and that it kept falling apart. The other staff was pretty annoying and just didn't seem like they could get their act together. Food came out at way different times, the guys setting up the heat lamps nearly knocked over a table and got the lamp caught in the string of lights (the lamp was on, by the way). The food was also only okay. I expected more with the impression of the setting and location of this restaurant. I guess it wasn't impressive and didn't make me think I want to come back here. The portions were a bit on the small side as well which for some of the colleagues was a bit surprising with how much the entrees cost.I have heard that the brunch is really great though. I may give it a chance for brunch, but not for a dinner I have to pay for. Especially with an $18 valet fee.

WAHOOO to the chilaquiles. I could end my review right there, but I won't ;) If you're ever in the LA area and you're looking for a brunch with a view AND good food, Ivory on Sunset is the place to go. Though we had reservations for Saturday afternoon, we did have to wait a bit, but rest assured, the friendliness of the staff, the food, and the views did make it all worth it. There's also a ton of room for picture taking, which always makes a brunch just that better! My chilaquiles consisted of tortillas, red salsa, cheese, and eggs (I'm sure I'm missing something). Both of my guests also enjoyed their meals and there were no complaints.

Old town West Hollywood still has some great spots. Start with the happy hour here, and then be sure that you have dinner. The atmosphere is quaint and cozy. I suggest to visit here.

Great place, great vibe, great view of the Los Angeles CBD. Stopped by the place after finishing a hollywood exhibition. I loved the service and enjoy my sangria very well. Would definitely stop by if I'm in the hollywood area.

A great LA spot with wonderful people and food that is delicious & displayed nicely. Beatrice and Athena were absolutely amazing from the moment we arrived - super kind with smiles that make your day. The scallops and filet Mignon were delicious and also recommend the antipasta as an appetizer.

Awesome comfort food in the heart of the tenderloin. The blackened catfish was SO tender and the fried green tomatoes are some of the best I've had!

So the place looks lovely, of course. The waiters are very attentive and nice. My problem is with the hyper expensive basic food. They don’t even have speciality coffee (like it’s 2020, guys ;) ) and the juices are 17$ (LoL)

Okay so I came here with a friend to have a nice dinner out. I had came right from a 10 hour shift with eating barely anything all day. I was absolutely starving. We ordered the house bread, which took about 15 minutes to come out. (Also this was around 6 pm and we were 1 in maybe 10 tables so not super busy) weird for an upscale LA restaurant to take that long. But once it came out it was super delicious. I also ordered the artichoke, which I didn't know was going to be on bread from the menu description but it was delicious as well. Off to a good start. The waiter was also nice and friendly. Then the main coarse came out and I had gotten the dungeness crab ravioli. Man what a terrible decision to order after a long work day and how hungry I was. I took a bite into it and it tasted like pure salt water from the ocean. Since it was slow service and the waiter was no where to be found for over 5 minutes after the food was dropped off I forced myself to eat it because I literally couldn't wait any longer. I also realized the fish inside the crab ravioli was grey, which after I looked up means that it was probably bad fish. :( not to mention I felt really sick the rest of the night. I also got a side of crispy potatoes which weren't what I was expecting at all, but they had good flavor I liked them. Then to get my mind off of the flavor of the awful meal, we got the polenta cake and chocolate tart for dinner. The polenta cake was very delicious with the mint gelato and berries. The chocolate tart was kinda nice as well. But overall quality is 8/10. So overall atmosphere is great, workers are super friendly, service was slow, food is average, just kind of a disappointment I expected more from how nice this place looked online. And I can't get over the fact I probably ate rotten fish

So we lucked out and got Athena and she was the best server ever. I wish she was my server at every establishment .

Sat inside today as the weather was a bit cold. The cover is finally off outside to enjoy the LA sun! The chef was able to accommodate my allergies which is not always possible in some restaurants. The view was impeccable and the chef even came out to make sure everything went well! Had a friend in town from Florida and she really enjoyed the menu. Wide selection and great cocktails to compliment! Plus bottomless mimosas for brunch!

Four of us ate a weekday brunch here while staying at the adjacent Mondrian hotel. The view is stunning, the restaurant is large with a number of different areas - both indoor and outdoor. There is a two sided bar (one side inside and one outside) where we found the friendliest of barkeeps (when having a cocktail on the day we arrived at the hotel). The menu is eclectic with a variety to suit most any palate. Valet parking at the front of the adjacent hotel makes parking simpler in an otherwise hard-to-park area, and can be validated. Most outstanding was the staff, friendly yet professionally distant, and their attitude to the best of service was outstanding.
