Americano tasted like diner coffee

Was playing basketball at poinsettia park up the street from this place and as I walked past severely Hydrated because I forgot my water bottle i decided to stop and ask for some water and the bald guy was so rude to me and mean mugging me for no reason like it’s 9:30am calm down. Honestly if I saw a kid thirsty I would just give them a cup of water like come on dude he said it’s 50 cent and I told him I didn’t have anything on me cause I was playing basketball I don’t carry things when I play basketball you would think he would’ve just gave it to me lol I’m a barista too and I give out cups of water to ppl like let’s normalize giving a cup of water to ppl. Water should be free. This place sucks.

I don’t know how to feel for this location. I normally would go to Blackwood Coffee bar but, honestly, this place could scale down the decor and upscale everything else. It took 20 min for a drip coffee and a lackluster ham n cheese croissant to be served. The pasties look like it’s been sitting out since the start of the 2024 election. There were a lot more variety on the drinks menu but Blackwood has fewer and better. And why there’s only 1 person doing all of the work on an early Sunday morning?

Stopped in here after shopping at Trader Joe’s. We were warmly welcomed. The croissant was very flaky, and they had a lot of vegan options (Vegan sausage roll was delicious!). Coffee was good and outside patio was clean. We will be coming back!

I am from New Jersey and visited California back in January. This “coffee” place was exactly what I was looking for: good clean atmosphere, healthy FRESH food made right there, and a very friendly staff. I see some of the comments below and I’m sorry a whoever rated 1/5 for atmosphere - is just a hater. I’m definitely going back whenever I’m back to LA!!

Decent enough. Paid $12 for a small cappuccino with tip. Just don’t eat anything you bought at trader’s Joe’s across the way or you’ll get tossed out like a Mexican tortilla.

This place was awesome. The old staff was amazing this new staff is so slow. Literally waited almost 40min for avocado toast. Rather just go to either Starbucks or Blackwood.

There are a lot of way nicer coffee shops just around. So go there and enjoy.
