“Kashtan is our favorite deli and restaurant. We recently catered for a birthday and everyone loved the food. We had leftovers that we enjoyed for days so the portions are more than generous. “We had a fantastic experience at The Little Door! Booking a reservation online was a breeze, and when we were running late due to LA traffic, we called ahead. The staff was super accommodating and understanding, which made the whole experience feel even more welcoming.

Parking is a bit tricky, as it's located on a busy street. We didn’t realize there was valet parking until after we had already parked in a neighborhood behind the restaurant, but that’s on us! Once you arrive, the restaurant itself is absolutely charming. The cute little door you walk through sets the stage for what’s inside—a dreamy, romantic atmosphere. The place is adorned with cute doors, lush foliage, mirrors, and cozy lighting. It’s perfect for a date night, a girls' night out, or any special occasion.

We were traveling with our son, and while we didn’t have a sitter, he does well in formal settings. The staff kindly seated us at a quieter corner table near the bar, away from the hustle and bustle. The table was spacious enough for a group of 6-8, so it felt very comfortable with just the three of us.

Our waiter was very kind and took the time to explain the menu. We started with steak tartare, which was delicious, and then my husband ordered the Couscous Royale. It was a huge portion and packed with flavor, especially the lamb, which he loved! I had the fresh Pappardelle pasta, and let me tell you—it was divine! I still think about that dish to this day. Best pasta I’ve ever had!

We also received a complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch and tasted great.

Overall, this place is perfect for any occasion, whether it’s a first date, family dinner, or a fun night out with friends. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be back when we visit LA again.

“Very disappointed in the entertainment. No beetle juice, only 3 performers (Raven, sally, and corpse bride). Was not worth the 100 dollars we each paid. It was very boring waiting for the entertainment to come out and then only for a very short time. I give the entertainment 1 star.“
