Ricardo Zarathe does it again!!! Amazing food and vibe at the new Colibri pop up. Highly recommend you make your reservations quick! Enjoy the flavors curated in this summer pop up.
Decided to try this popup and was excited by the food and service. Ciabatta bread and butter were perfectly toasted and so much flavor. Shared the pasta..malfadini..great meld of flavors. Last we Shared beef anticucho..tender beef with sauces plus flat bread and lettuce. Perfectly cooked and just wonderful. Too full for desert, maybe another time if we get back to that part of town and they are still there. Service was great, too.
Gorgeous Space. It is eclectically charming with a portage outside area for a special event. I wish had one Just To eat in that semi-outside patio area. Gorgeous waitstaff. They made wonderful suggestions and took care of us almost TOO MUCH. Gorgeous food: delicious. Juicy chicken thighs. A Whole fanned-out fish (just how I like it). Incredible chocolate salad with avocado, peas, herbs! Warm buttered bread comes with olives, prosciutto and olives. OUTSTANDING. YUMMMO!
Ricardo Zarate's latest Peruvian [-Italian] restaurant is a gem. Wonderfully comfortable [and quiet, at least early evening, when we were there], with attentive service and outstanding food. A short menu but everything we had was terrific -- be sure to leave room for dessert [especially the aroz].
Food was good. Service was awful. Took 1.5 hours to get an appetizer another hour and half to get a bowl of pasta. Had to cancel our steak because apparently 3.5 hours is too short of notice to cook a steak. Ordered a bottle, received a glass of wine. Had to remind waitress numerous times what we ordered. Would not return. We left hungry.
I've been a fan of Chef Ricardo's food for a bout 5 years and here he goes again with something new and definitely NOT DISAPPOINTING ??????. Food was AMAZING ! Cool ambiance and music, will definitely come back again multiple times ?
Great! First time at this restaurant although we have been to all of Chef Zarate's previous restaurants which have always been great. We asked the 2 Chefs to choose our meal. EVERY dish was delicious! Dino and his team were Great. We will definitely be back.
Sushi crocante was awesome. Lomo saltado was cooked perfectly with excellent texture and the seasoning/sauce also had great flavor without being overpowering.Same goes for seafood chaufa and the salchipapa. We’ll be back!
We didn’t plan on dining here but couldn’t have been more happy with the entire experience. Each shared plate we tried was well thought out and a burst of flavors with each bite. Lychee called to us so we indulged in those martinis. A must is the ceviche. Everything was well crafted and you could tell, carefully made. The design was exquisite to top it off. I can’t wait to come back!!!
Yummy place located in the heart of West Hollywood. Walking distance to Melrose Blvd near la cienega. We really enjoyed the Peruvian fusion! Highly recommend it for the food and the music vibe!

Service 10/10 — Very friendly, outgoing, attentiveHIGHLY recommend ordering the ceviche. My boyfriend mentioned it was the best he’s had.I always love a good Nikkei-style fusion, and this hit the spot! All of their dishes pretty much had a ton of flavor, rather have things over seasoned than under so they did an amazing job.You also HAVE to get their Panna Cotta dessert. That hit of passion fruit… literally so so good. It looked like just a pretty dessert and that’s it, but when you dig in one spoonful… wasn’t expecting it to taste that good! They aren’t just one of those insta-worthy restaurants in LA. They really care about the service, the experience, AND the food. All of those points, makes the restaurant that good. — Also the perfect place for a GNO (girls night out) or date-night!
Amazing find. I loveeee chaufa/chifa if you’ve never had Peruvian sushi / seafood etc. this is the place. Great service as well
Creative take on sushi made with classic Peruvian ingredients and flavors in addition to some classics. Food was innovative and delicious. Service was great. Worth a try!
Hidden Peruvian restaurant. Must to try, definitely! Decor, interior, food, service - everything is outstanding. They opened up recently so come and enjoy delicious Peruvian cuisine!
To be honest, I was disappointed... This place is very very expensive, especially compared to the size and quality of the food. It is Peruvian/Japanese fusion cuisine, but the Peruvian qualities were not the best. The fish did taste a little too fishy and off. Flavor was not very impressive. Peruvian qualities were bland. The restaurant is beautiful but I don't think it's worth the cost especially with the quality and quality. Our server was nice. Although, the extra 20% gratuity plus $10 service charges for two people was not something the server told us about before handing over the payment device (without showing individual costs/tip/etc) to tip more. So we tipped more without knowing the 20% was included already. We didn't know until he emailed the recipe. So we ended up tipping 40%. That may have just been a shady server but it made us feel taken advantage of. The overall experience was not worth it.
