Love this spot. So much attention to the quality of the fish that they deliver it with these cute ice bags. Nice little patio right across from Schmitty’s.

Exceptional sushi. Their rolls are exceptionally creative and delicious. I LOVE the Hollywood boy with wagyu beef: rich, crispy, and packed with umami.
Easily one of the best sushi restaurants on the west side.

We loved Sachi Sushi! We stumbled across it as we were searching for a sushi place that was open on the fourth of July, we were hungry and exhausted from a full day and we all agreed the delicious food we had was healing :)
We HIGHLY recommend the miso soup, if it doesn't come as a side with your meal you've got to add it to your order. My spicy bulgogi was filling and flavorful, and my friends finished off every bite of their multiple sushi plates.
The service was very friendly! We didn't catch her name but our server was so kind and attentive even being the only one on the floor that night. We loved the chill atmosphere of this little sushi spot so much that we returned three days later for a goodbye meal to celebrate the end our trip. Thank you Sachi Sushi!!

The sushi melts in your mouth, you can taste each ingredient. There’s no fishy smell-aftertaste. I’ve been here both dinner and lunch and they each have different menus. I’ve been to Japan countless times but I’ve never tasted sushi this good in Japan. The staff immediately greeted us as soon as we walked in, and the waitresses were kind and friendly. We were also lucky to hold and play with a live crab before it got grilled.

When I come here, I like to sit at the bar for a more personal experience with Sachi and the other chefs. The host is kind, and Sachi has been accommodating each time. My partner and I had a craving at 9:30pm and Sachi still allowed us to order even though it closed at 9:30 (a Thursday in May ‘24). Another time, I ordered takeout right before closing and it was well packed and prepared fast.
As far as food, I love the snow crab and spicy tuna hand rolls for a quick and filling bite. My partner loves the New Hollywood Boy - high quality wagyu beef from Japan.
Parking: there is a small parking lot in the back off of Huntley Drive for Sachi and the business next door.
Huntley Dr itself is a permit parking street

I went to this restaurant on a whim. By far, the brightest stars were the lamb chops and hamachi kama (yellowtail collar) appetizers - I’d highly recommend those items for first-timers.
We also ordered the 10-piece nigiri tasting. I was particularly impressed by the barracuda nigiri and scallop nigiri (I normally don’t like scallops, so that was a nice surprise!). My partner got the baked crab hand roll and said it was also delicious.
The restaurant has a nice little patio seating area.
Kid-friendliness: Kind of a weird detail here, but the patio has a view of the Metro Bus Yard next door. I found it nice to watch all the buses drive by at the end of their shifts. I think kids would enjoy this feature.

Underrated small Japanese restaurant in a prime location. How could we be one of two tables during lunch hour?We enjoyed an excellently prepared selection of nigiris. The chef even included their special of whole edible crabs. The woman who served us was so thoughtful, to the point when I told my son to be careful of the hot soup, she said she added ice cubes to make it the perfect sippable temperature. I love this kind of care.

Had lunch there today and was quite disappointed. They used brown rice for the sushi for some reason and the rice was quite soggy. Fish didn’t taste fresh and had limited flavor.

This place is phenominal. You know a sushi place is real when the chef is picky with the ingredients. We were lucky to go when it wasn’t busy; the chef had the time to show us the fresh, lively crab before frying them! He also showed us the uni imported straight from Fukuoka, as well as other fish that you cannot find from the U.S. markets. I was really impressed with the selectivity of the ingredients sources! The atmosphere 5/5You can choose to dine either indoors or at the outdoor patio, and both are private and romantic. Not too dark, not too bright. It’s a perfect place for a date night, but the food is so good many people come alone too!The food 5/5I’ve been to countless sushi places throughout my life, but I never thought I’d find the best in Los Angeles. I think this place had fresher sushi than the places in Japan I’ve been to!Every. Single. Dish had a wow-factor. Trust me when I say these dishes taste better than they look. The sushi just MELT in your mouth, with the perfect texture and bounciness you can have with only real, fresh fish. Absolutely no fishy smell, the plating —even though the chef does them in seconds— is beautiful.Service 5/5You’re greeted as soon as you walk in, but be prepared for a wait when it’s busy. The chef had great pride in every dish, and you can tell he puts his heart into his food! I love it when passionate chefs genuinely care, and you tell by the food too.The waitresses were extremely sweet and attentive, even when it became busy. Some of the menus gets sold out fast, like the baby yellowtail, so you must come early! However, all the dishes were delicious, so just go with an open mind and you won’t be disappointed.I recommend ALL my friends to go :) my new favorite spot!

This down-to-earth spot has extremely fresh cuts, expertly aged or marinated by quiet yet magnanimous chef Sachi. With few words and a kind smile, he catered a spread of familiar fish that I’d never had like this: fish that would taste “fishy” anywhere else, mellowed into their buttery subtlety, arranged in a flight with gentle nudges to follow an order that progressed masterfully. Sitting at the bar on a slow afternoon gave us the opportunity to talk about personal tastes, confer about modifications, and pick his brain about what Sachi thought was exceptional. I was delighted and (what’s the opposite of bullied?) into a fantastic meal, start to finish, trying to tease out the flavors in the quick brines of some cuts that he kept as a house secret, in exchange for a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. 11/10 (Pro-tip: take good note of the seasonal offerings, as many of these fish I have not seen before and won’t get my hopes up to find (or afford) so perfectly prepared outside Sachi’s purview.)
