Visiting Sunset Boulevard with a friend while in California we stopped here at Sunset Deli to grab some lunch after walking through and sightseeing. Food was good although very pricey for two subs costing nearly $40. A bit overpriced in my opinion. We asked for no mayonnaise on our subs but each sandwich has mayonnaise on them. Outside of this food and service was okay.

Business is closed for good Building is for lease. Sad that it's gone. Let us know if you open at a different location

The new owners of this restaurant are so rude especially the old Chinese man that's taking order I asked if I can get a cup of water and he started telling me who are you and started being really rude and the sandwiches don't taste the same anymore. I really hope the last owner comeback.

Usually stop and grab sandwiches when in the area. Employees are always great. You usually can tell if it's a good place to eat if police and firefighters eat there. They both frequent this restaurant.

Considerate service and good price per portion. I went there for a small breakfast and was pleased.

Excellent food, excellent service and convenient location since it's walking distance to my office. Five stars all around.

Their sandwiches are really delicious. You must definitely try it. The staff are friendly and attentive. The service is also great. You can also try classic chicken sandwich, macaroni salad and also chocolate chip cookies. All are amazing. You are definitely gonna love it.

I popped on for lunch around 1130, few customers but not crowded. I bought the large firehouse 7 and a drink which came out to around 21$. The wait for my food was about 15 minutes. When my order was ready the person that took my order couldn't remember who I was and was asking other customers if they ordered my sandwich. I'm a bald white man with a motorcycle helmet, how could you miss me? The sandwich was really good. Bread was fresh and so was the lettuce and tomato. Boars head meat is always spectacular which is why I chose this deli. Small inside eating area that's a little crowded with their table/chair setup, outdoor area was the same. Would eat here again but would probably grab and go.

We have gone there at least twice and have ordered the Godmother each time so you know it's good. Also tried the metal ball sub and multiple meatball sizes instead of the traditional giant meatballs. The large is in fact large so be prepared. We shared that between 2 people. Loved it. We will be back again. Only downside is the parking since on sunset Blvd. it was a pain in the butt.

Go for the 9 inch and the soft bread. Very yummy at a good price. $13 for most sandwich

Been here several times and the sandwiches were the bomb ! Always lots of meat! Well I was working down the street with my crew and took them here today. Was bragging about the portions of the extra big sandwich and how much meat you get on the whiskey go go and brisket sandwich. My bill was 78$ plus tip for 5 sandwiches some chips and 2 cokes. Well we all order up and sat down and when the sandwiches came I looked at my brisket sandwich and was like Weres the beef? 18 bucks for not much meat and lots of bread. The contractor I took there with my crew was like all I taste is bread and not much meat we were all disappointed. The place is not cheap to eat at but with all the meat they use to give you it made up for the pricey sandwiches. I'll go back again for a second chance but if it like it was today then sadly it's time to go to subway down the street!

Ordered from here today. Sandwich was alright. There was barely any meat and my wheat bread was really dry. Probably won't eat here again. I was disappointed.

Pretty extensive menu of good lunch foods. Quick service, but nothing mind blowing that I can speak of

Been eating here for 15 years. It was an amazing family run deli with quality food and friendly service. The new owners have turned it into a place i no longer enjoy. The police and fire used to be here every day. The new owners have run them off too.The food quality has gone down, ingredients are poor quality and taste cheap or overprocessed. About the only thing that's not cheap is the meat (when they aren't out of it).I miss the friendly greetings, the great food, and the overall vibe of the place. I hope they can get it figured out before they lose all of us regulars.

So the other day I was working further down on Sunset blvd and I struck by this deli and wanted to try it out. Small little store but it sure looked promising with the menu of sandwich choices they had and options of chips and drinks. So I tried one of their signature sandwiches and it was great. The meats and cheese were very fresh, the avocado spread was great and it filled me up. I didn't know their hours of operation were short but i would definitely go for it again on my lunch.
