Finally had to try this place and walked away a bit disappointed.
Note the “featured menu” on the homepage of their website isn’t exactly on the actual menu, so you’ll need to build your own. They technically only have four dogs on the menu which you can alter and include add-ons as you please.
I wanted the piggy pup but they didn’t have bacon.
The hotdogs have a snappy skin, so be warned if you don’t like that.
The dogs have a good overall flavor, however, there’s nothing particularly remarkable about them.
The corn dog batter is a bit gritty, nothing like you’ll get at Coney Island.

No stars this place is very expensive and it’s not good at all I’m a foodie and love trying out in places ! Let me start with the corn dog saturated in no oil every bite was just oil in your mouth the chilli dogs are ok 👍 but not worth 15 dollars
Parking: Save your money expensive not worth the money I spent 50 dollars on 2 hotdogs one fries and two drinks 🥤 disgusting food

The people were very friendly. I ordered at the big hotdog just off the sidewalk and picked up my order inside. The hotdogs were awsome. The actual weiner are of very high quality and have a great flavor.
I really enjoyed them.

This place was a spot that my wife and I just decided to try while walking and it was so good. Like you think of hotdogs and think it is gonna be mid but these are so good and the corn dog slaps 100%

The 1946 pup was a top notch hot dog so delicious! The corn dog was unlike any corn dog I’ve ever had and the batter was so flaky with a pillowy interior. Competes with Disneyland. Both items are probably the best I’ve ever had. Definitely want to come back here.

Food was absolutely horrible. Ordered a corn dog, chili dog, fries, chili bowl and funnel cake fries and threw it all away. Couldn’t eat it.

You’re in the middle West Hollywood, eating a hot dog out of a Giant Hit Dog hut…. Does it get anymore LA! This is dog is very different from Pinks, but also, pretty great! I got the 1946 Split dog with grilled onions and mustard, my husband got the Chili Dog, and we shared some fries and onion rings. The onion rings actually ended up being the highlight of this meal… OMG! Loved the hotdog sleeve too! If you find yourself on Santa Monica Blvd… stop by and grab a dog at Tail O’the Pup.

It's so cool they saved this iconic place... It's definitely a stop to make when in LA
Vegetarian options: My girlfriend is vegetarian she liked it ok but it didn't quite thrill her...I loved my meal though, but I'm a filthy meat eater

My son wanted to come here because he loves hot dogs, they're pretty good and the fries too, also free refills so you could drink as much soda as you want, only thing, prices are a little bit out there for dogs and fries ? but every now and then it doesn't hurt. The bun for the dogs is soft..
