The unethical Coffee Bean employee Claudia refused to provide the restroom code during business hours ( 9:30pm), stating, “We just cleaned it and don’t want it to get dirty again.” I was then forced to disclose a private medical condition to another employee to gain access. This conduct is unacceptable and may violate public accommodation, disability access, and privacy laws.
The day prior, two minutes before closing, Claudia refused to prepare drinks until we offered an excessive tip, then provided a substandard drink and began closing early. This suggests coercive tipping and denial of service before posted closing time.
If I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will file complaints with corporate, the DOJ Civil Rights Division (ADA), the state civil rights agency, the state attorney general/consumer protection office, the local health department, and applicable labor authorities, and I will consider further legal action.

I bought a coffee here, asked to go to the toilet, but they refused me, they suggested going across the road to another bar! Terrible service and unfriendly staff!

The facilities are very clean and bright here. Good temp, great view, fast service and great drinks! Compared to all the other places we've visited as tourists here in West Hollywood, their prices are very good.

Don’t want to give a one star bc of one person bc the place is more than fine. But fire the girl w the bandana and nasty attitude. Atrocious and rude
Was here on 7/28 at 6 pm so u know who it was
The situation in Los Angeles is worse. The toilet is working, but the staff won't let you in. Violation of customer service rules. The government needs to pay attention to this! 08/02/2025
This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood checks a lot of boxes when it comes to atmosphere and convenience. It’s clean, well-maintained, and has a calm energy that makes it an easy spot to post up with a laptop or meet a friend without battling the chaos of trendier cafés nearby. The staff is friendly and efficient—my drink came out quickly and with a smile. There’s plenty of seating, both inside and outside, which is a plus in this part of town.
But here’s the thing: the coffee itself is just… okay. Not terrible, not great—just a bit forgettable. It tastes more like what you’d expect from a chain trying to be consistent rather than aiming for depth, nuance, or roast character. And for people who actually care about coffee (as in, the flavor, not just the caffeine), that’s kind of a letdown. You come here for the reliability and the vibe, not for a transcendent cup.
So if you’re in the neighborhood and need a clean, chill place to sit and sip, this location will work just fine. But if you’re looking for something to impress your palate, you might want to walk a few more blocks.

I wasn’t originally going to write a review because I come here fairly often being that I live in the area, but I have to say that not too long ago I had a very negative experience with one of the staff members. He had a shaved head all around, except long black hair on the crown of his head. He was just very very rude, I’m not going to get into details. I’m unsure if it was a bad day for him, but I don’t really feel I’ve been negatively treated by any of the staff in the past decade I’ve been going here until him.

A DEFINITELY ~WILL~ RECOMMEND experience!! I was assisted by Sirith and Victor and WOW! Epitome of teamwork and class. My daughter and I were vacationing and tried this gem in West Hollywood. A+ service and delivery. Coffee was exactly as ordered and breakfast didn’t disappoint. Both Sirith and Victor went above and beyond in their service making my experience even more notable! #Bring it back to AUSTIN!!!

I go to Florida Caffee Bean, which is much cleaner and nicer! Maybe it is because California, but the place definitely needs renovation
So much better than Starbucks! Great coffee and good treats & sandwiches.
Parking is absolutely atrocious over there. Biggest problem with the place
Walk-up counter service. A limited but excellent choice of wraps and pastries! I had somewhat of a detailed request ... decaf coffee with hazelnut flavoring and small amount of sugar. Spot - on Keep up the good work!
Thank you for your special kindness!
