Our experience was most disappointing. My partner and I were celebrating a special occasion and enjoying a particularly romantic evening. We had ordered drinks and appetizers and were quietly enjoying one another's company when we were abruptly interrupted by the manager. Their manner was unexpectedly discourteous, and they appeared rather eager to hasten our departure. We were simply showing affection .. something entirely natural and appropriate given the context and atmosphere. This is a free country, and how two consenting adults choose to express themselves respectfully in public is absolutely none of the management's business. The intrusion was both unnecessary and offensive. Frankly, such behaviour is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on the establishment. We expected a warm and hospitable environment
Food could have been better. Our steak was cold and the chicken was dry. The fish was great. They need to do a better job preparing the food.
The security guard was incredibly overbearing, kept coming up to people and telling them to move to not stand around to not lean on a chair to not come by a table and say hi to people it was like we were being watched by a hawk. I went to my friends's table to say hello to everyone and within five seconds of security came up to us and said I need to move and I cannot say hi to everyone because I need to go be seated. Completely ruined our experience will not be coming back and neither will a lot of the people there.
An iconic spot that comes with an unreasonable price tag imo. Expect $250 per head with tip + $24 for valet. Some silly rules like you can't sit with your date on the same side of the table. Worth going for a special occasion, but like so many places in LA - severely overpriced cocktails ($25 for mist). Plenty of other restaurants with as good if not better food for half the price.
Service started off stellar, but at some point, our server just dropped off the map and I ultimately had to request the check from someone else. Oh well, good thing you dont come here for the service. Or really the food for that matter. The tuna tartar, for example, was brought out within 2-3 minutes of ordering. How could that be, unless it was pre-prepared? But you do come for the scene, and Tower Bar delivers on that end. Lots of pretty people and even got the celebrity sighting (Elizabeth Banks) that I was looking for. At least, until 1030, which is when LA unfortunately shuts down nowadays. Dinner for 2, 2 drinks each and no dessert = $380 + $55 for valet for 2 cars. Is that a lot? Hard to say what's normal nowadays.
For lunch, the food is subpar at best. I ordered the caesar salad with shrimp and some truffle fries thinking it was a safer bet given the negative reviews of the other options I had seen online. The salad was completely flavorless and not crisp. The truffle fries were okay. The only reason to go here for lunch is if you want some celeb sightings and to say you went to an iconic LA landmark.
A very rude host! I rarely leave a review. I asked for a different table and he literally said “l'll seat you where I think it's best, all our tables are great” the restaurant was half empty.
Fantastic service! Wonderful food for a birthday dinner and had a great experience. A favorite!
I always have a great time at the tower bar. The food is great but there's nothing like their service. Excellent!!!
Wow wow wow!! Everything was beyond expectations.I've mentioned in my reservation it's our anniversary and they sat us outdoor which was so nice. Sliders were so good!! Would definitely recommend.Chocolate cake was also amazing! Without us saying they brought our dessert with happy anniversary writing. It made our night special .We'd definitely go back here for date night.

Overpriced and just not what it used to be... $45 for chicken pot pie and and $42 for a burger. They were both just ok. Nothing special.
Such a quaint and sophisticated atmosphere. Had a beautiful birthday experience.
Honestly the food is extremely mediocre and overpriced. Service was pretty good though.
I've been going to Tower for YEARS. They are famous for their fried chicken. I ordered it tonight and it arrives without the gravy and the greens that were always served with it. When I asked my server he said it was due to budget cuts and tariffs. Gravy and greens??? Such a disappointment. Ruined one of their most famous dishes. The server said he was “embarrassed” about this change.
Loved the ambiance and the feel of the place. Feels like old school LA which seems to be lost as of the last decade here with all these new restaurants popping up.
