Terrible service! We called and they said they were open till 10 o’clock plus that’s what’s advertised as you can see from the attached picture. We walked all the way there and arrived at 9:10 and they said sorry we’re not gonna serve anybody else tonight. There were large tables of people still dining and we said that we walked all the way there cause you said you were open until 10 and they were very rude and said closed. They honestly cared less and when I said I’m going to be doing a review, they laughed and said go ahead so they don’t care at all. If they have no concept of customer service, do you ever wanna eat there cause think of what they’re doing in the kitchen with the food? Lack of empathy or care for customers doesn’t limit itself to just one area.

My fiancé and I celebrated our anniversary at Traktir and I can’t stop thinking about the experience. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we had stepped into a cozy bar or restaurant you might stumble upon in Russia, not that I’ve been there, but the atmosphere transports you. It’s casual, warm, and authentic, like you’re traveling without leaving town.
The food is the definition of home-cooked perfection. Every dish feels like it was made with love and tradition. The meats were absolutely decadent and fall-apart tender, every bite melting in your mouth. We also tried a few of their infused vodkas — cranberry, pickled pepper, and horseradish — each with its own unique flavor that added to the whole experience.
Our server was so kind and friendly, making the evening feel even more special. We left completely full and so happy, the kind of happy where you’re already planning your next visit before you’ve even left. I’m still craving it. Traktir is officially one of our favorite spots.

I’ve been coming here with my whole family for my entire life (several decades), and the sweet waiter/host always remembers us 🥹
We love popping in for some dumplings, herring with dill potatoes (my favorite appetizer), borscht, darnitsky salad, chicken tabaka, and various skewers.
Their infused vodkas are great, and their compote (cold stewed fruit beverage) is amazing and tastes just like my grandma’s.
The atmosphere is relaxed and breezy, and we’ll be coming here forever. I recommend Traktir to all my friends, so definitely come here if you can!
I also love stopping at the deli next door to bring home some yummy salads, premade entrees, and cakes!!

Very fat food, their beef stroganoff is laced with lard. Service is questionable. Do not recommend.
