We were told the wait time would be 45 minutes, but after waiting over an hour we were then told to wait an additional 15 minutes. When I spoke with the owner to share my disappointment, he just said they were busy and didn’t seem to care that we were leaving. I now regret all the years I’ve ordered takeout from this restaurant — lesson learned. One less customer for this place.
We just went to Off The Hook Seafood Restaurant instead. They were very busy but gave us excellent service, which made all the difference.

Go-to for food and drinks. Absolute must when in West Hollywood and an all around charmer. Food is miles better than across the street … 👀

I visited Zarape for the first time and it happened to happy hour. I was blown away by how good their chicken tacos and guacamole tasted! I definitely want to explore more items in their menu, especially their margaritas.
Special shout out to kindest and most helpful waitress, Bella. She went out of the way to make my experience worthwhile. I’ll definitely become a regular!

Had the chips and dips and grilled chicken burritos. To be honest chipotle does 200 times better burritos for half the price. Dry tasteless bland burritos and the salsa
Was just like a peri peri sauce poured out of a bottle . 2/10. Don’t trust the fake reviews. This place is not worth it. They need to really learn Mexican before selling Mexican food.

If you want real authentic Mexican food, this is the place. I’ve been here numerous times and I’ve never been let down. For me this is the best Mexican restaurant in Los Angeles.

Friendly staff but the food was below mid. The shrimp taco in particular was actually disgusting as the shrimp was the texture of rubber and lukewarm. Chips were stale. If it wasn’t for the nice staff I’d have given it a 1 star.

Service was somewhat friendly but the food took an unacceptable amount of time. There is much better food with better service elsewhere.

Margaritas meh food ok. This place is overpriced. There's almost always a long wait for not only parking but a long wait to be sat. I just don't get it.

Attractive restaurant. Loud music so that you will not have to talk. Food tasty but pricey and the portiobs are small. Not a good value.

Restaurantji Recommends
Have taken out here before and thought it was decent. Went with a friend to eat in and the experience was horrendous.
Sat my friend in a corner booth while I parked. She sat but couldn’t scoot in because the rather large couple next to us had actually put their personal items in one of the seats and were sitting halfway in. So I couldn’t sit when I arrived.
Must have been regular customers because the waitress chatted endlessly with them while ignoring the fact that I couldn’t sit down and my friend couldn’t move in.
So we got up and left and the couple next to us gladly took our corner booth.
Horrible service and horrible people.
After leaving I was still hungry and wanted tacos and guacamole for delivery. It came very late, the tacos were soggy and there were no chips with the guacamole.
I left a message for the owner but didn’t hear back.

My girlfriend and I come here almost every time we’re in LA. Their happy hour is 3-630 and I highly recommend the happy hour mini tacos. The drinks are affordable and pack a punch. The service is always top notch. Isabella was great and the bartender Will is so knowledgeable and full of great recommendations. We will always be back! ❤️

They have the best lactose free horchata I’ve ever had. I also very much enjoyed their chilaquiles.
