My family and I were in town and looking for a soul food place to try when we stumbled upon this restaurant by accident. We originally went into the location to order from a different cook (not realizing that it was a shared kitchen with several different restaurants inside) and that's when we were greeted by a woman offering samples of her food from this place and we loved the taste, so we bought our food from her. The food was really good and well seasoned. We were happy with our food choice! Give them a try!

Baaaaybaaaaaaay let me tell you! This was my first time here. The catfish was amazing the cabbage, greenbeans, and kool-aid FIRE!!!!!! but the mac and cheese and yams!!!!! Listen I'm 32! And have had many restaurant versions but these!!!!!! Hands down Are/were the BEST SIDES OF YAMS AND MAC AND CHEESE i have ever had!!!! Sweet baby Jesus!! It was soo good!!! I'll definitely be back!

Ordered from Doordash, and the food was AMAZING. I even received a call from the restaurant letting me know they were out of something I ordered, asking what I'd like to replace it witt. The owners are family of one of my friends; I was so happy to support. And, I'm not just saying the food was good bc I know their family, lol. It's really good...because it's good! I'm primarily vegetarian, but I'd go back just for the sides!! May God bless this establish, its owners, and their finances.
Ordered takeout for the 3 piece fried chicken as well se the fried catfish plate and had green beans, spicy cabbage, yams and black eyed peas with cornbread for sides The sides were so good and the main dishes were good but missing a little something that could've indeed took them next level. I would definitely order the catfish plate again but would pass on the chicken based on my friend's perspective in view because I don't eat chicken The delivery service was right on time and pretty fast considering I ordered on a holiday I'll definitely share pics my next order of the catfish plate and not sure about the ambiance, parking or vibe of the spot since this was takeout but we shall see if I ever visit in person because I would take family that visit me to this spot

This is the best southern food i’ve had. I’ve had annie’s soul delicious, i’ve had delicious southern cuisine, etc and multiple times at that. This is the restaurant that will not disappoint.The catfish was crispy and not too salty, the yams surprised me because the other places i mentioned don’t put enough spices and sweetness to them but I was so happy with these. The mac and cheese was not dry but also was not smothered with cheese to make up for lack of seasoning. the cornbread muffins were not too hard and not too crumbly just sweet and buttery. The red beans and rice was just perfect- rice wasn’t over cooked and I didn’t need to add tony’s seasoning to the beans like how I have to do for the Gumbo Pot’s red beans and rice.Literally everything was just right. And btw the other places I mentioned are good but this place just does it better all around.It’s everything we want a southern restaurant to be.

A FAMILY AFFAIR, Has to be one of the greatest southern cuisines over here on the western hemisphere. A family affair kayler to the century.Yesterday a five star condominium we're most of all the greatest entertainers reside, The young lady who delivered all the food was very insightful and knowledgeable of the food and how to serve it. She made every one of the staff feel comfortable in confidence of what they were going to consume.. I would highly recommend this Catering company to any business in California.
