This was my second visit to Coin & Candor. The food was excellent on both occasions, but the service and noise level were better on my first visit. that was on a Sunday night. This time was a Saturday night, and there was a wedding outside the dining room. The wedding definitely contributed to a very difficult noise level, and probably effected the service. I'm thinking some of the people that would otherwise have been in the dining room were working the wedding. Hence the slower service. Notwithstanding what must have been difficult for the servers that were in the dining room, no seemed frazzled, and everyone was very pleasant. Seervice was just a bit slow.
Let’s just cut to the chase: Coin & Candor is the best restaurant in Westlake Village, bar none.
Chef Hugo and his team have done an exceptional job in creating a seasonal, upscale, yet approachable (and very California) menu that deserves to be revisited again and again. The service is attentive, the cocktail program shows playfulness, and the food shows a team that knows how to execute at the highest level. C&C is truly a gem in Westlake Village, and is on par with the best that LA has to offer; 5 stars well deserved.

Inside and outside dining, terrific food and drink menu, nice ambiance, good service, a wonderful restaurant for everyday and special occasion dining.
Went there before and was looking forward to taking a friend in for a lovely experience. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned... The side we asked to be served on the side was right in with the dish; the poached eggs that were supposed to be runny came hard as a rock; the steak that was supposed to be medium rare was way overdone. All the things the waiter could have not only requested from the kitchen but checked on...and he didn't. Disappointing experience at such a high end and expensive place
Three long-time friends had a wonderful lunch experience at Coin and Candor. All the staff were both professional and warmly, welcoming. The menu was creative and the food was delicious. It was a beautiful day to sit on the patio that overlooks the rocks and waterfalls and lovely plantings. What a great getaway experience...

Great food and view was great overlooking the waterfall feature. Charlotte is a great server.
The ambience is great especially if you sit outside and get to listen to the waterfall. The food is good, a little pricey though.
We had such a fantastic experience at Coin & Candor! From the moment we arrived, Mario and Christopher made us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. We didn’t have to wait for anything—drinks were refilled promptly, service was seamless, and the entire evening flowed effortlessly.
Christopher went above and beyond explaining the menu and answering our questions with care and enthusiasm. His attention to detail made the meal even more enjoyable.
Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely outstanding. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented, but the real standout? The sourdough bread. It’s on a whole new level—crusty, warm, and bursting with fresh, tangy flavor. Easily some of the best we’ve ever had.
If you’re looking for top-notch food paired with impeccable service, Coin & Candor is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Always plan to arrive early and fight for the table you requested outside. It will never be available. Prepare to wait until they finally clear a spot. They will justify putting you “by the window”. Don't fall for it. You're welcome.

This is my second time visiting coin and candor and the experience is still phenomenal. From our greeting with the hostess to the last appreciative goodbyes of our waiter. We last visited towards the end of winter back in February and enjoyed the chefs amazing dinner winter menu. This time around we had the pleasure of enjoying his brunch/lunch summer delights. From his summer soup where you can taste every flavor in each bite to his refreshingly sweet dessert that featured summers perfect peaches. This meal was a 10/10. Highly recommend coming in to try the new summer menu and enjoy the calming views of the hotel this summer, with their signature coin and candor gin & tonic. Bon appétit!

I love this place and we come here a lot. Everything is great except customer service at the front desk at the restaurant. Jade was very rude, and she rolled her eyes on us when we asked if there was outside seating . She said she would check and come back, and we waited over 20 min, and she never came back. Having an employee like that in a high-class hotel is shocking.
