No attention to detail, no hospitality, dry and haphazard presentation. One of our friends salmon was raw and then sent back and came out dry on the outside and still raw in the middle. The place was dead, no ambience. I was excited to try it and brought some out of town guests. Honestly I was embarrassed that we chose the place when we could have chosen a lot better places in Thousand Oaks.

The service was really good and the fresh bread. My pork chop was dry and over cooked and the mustard mixed with apple was a bit of an odd combination. Not bad, but not that great. The scalloped potatoes were a little plain, but still good. I think my expectations may have been high because a new friend highly recommended the place. Maybe I just need to try a different meal.

My wife was out of town and I always like to test drive restaurants that we haven't gone to before I bring her. I noticed that some of the previous comments had to do with the restaurant being expensive so the first thing that I looked at before I was seated was the menu. It seemed normal to me. Maybe a couple of dollars more or less than other restaurants serving the same type of food. So nothing to get excited about one way or the other. To me, expensive is paying a lot of money for McDonalds or some other fast food place that is unhealthy and prepared with who knows what. It depends on whether a person wants to present a serious challenge to their health sometime in the future or have great healthy food for a few dollars more, and save grief and expense in the back-end of their life. To me that's far more expensive. I thought the atmosphere was very comfortable. The food tasted good, well prepared and inventive. It was not "over designed" just for the purpose of being trendy. I liked it a lot and will definitely bring my wife back

Beautiful restaurant - we were there during brunch hours and there is a lot of natural light inside at that time of day. My friends had been to Decker Kitchen for dinner and they said there is live music during dinner and the restaurant looks really cool at night. I'd consider having dinner there, but the only thing that would keep me from going back would be the service. As I mentioned we went for brunch, however they weren't very busy (less than half full). I would've been able to get over the service issues we had if they were slammed, but they weren't. A few people ordered coffee and they did not bring sugar or cream to the table. They also did not ask if we wanted any. When we did ask for some, it took awhile to bring it. Same story with the salt and pepper we asked for, which was not on the table. I started to feel like we were annoying the server by the time we were halfway though our meal. He could've totally been having a rough morning and maybe this experience is a fluke for this restaurant.

Restaurant was empty on a Thursday evening. Service very slow. Food below average. Atmosphere is poor. They never should have moved from their original location where food was great and atmosphere was much more enjoyable. Hope they survive and get back to where they were before moving.

The food was very good and the service was good as well. The only complaint was that our friends had brought a bottle of wine and the corkage fee was $30. I feel that's a bit steep. $20 is more reasonable.

Food was hit and miss. Some items were excellent, some not. My ribeye steak - the most expensive item on the menu - was lukewarm at best when served and had to be reheated...and even after reheating was simply not that good. Meat was tough, too much fat, sliced and served peculiarly, and way too much seasoning on the crust. I had this same dish at the restaurant's former location, and recall it being much better.

Food is excellent, and gives reason to go back. Servings were not large, depending on the dish, and for the price you'd think they'd do more (white rice in the chicken wing dish). The ambiance and decor is really where it lacks and almost makes you not want to go back until they remodel. Sparse tables, lots of plants, weird layout. Has great potential to be amazing all around.

Had a wonderful evening at the new Decker Kitchen. We decided to sit at the bar and enjoy their tasty cocktails. They were so good we gave up our table and ate at the bar. Plus the bartender Sheri (sp?) was awesome. Started with the bread. We ordered the olives and feta to dip the bread into. Amazing as always! Then we split the little gem salad and the full order of the ribs. The ribs are so good! Don't hesitate! Just order the ribs. We ordered a few drinks off the menu and also trusted the bartender to create a few off the menu. Can't wait to go back!!

Food was ok to good. Service was terrible. They were clearly short staffed, but the remaining staff was not friendly or welcoming. The decor looks like the clearance section of Home Goods.

It was a perfect Westlake evening and sitting outside was quite enjoyable. They did a nice job with the patio area. The ribs were especially good and my friend enjoyed her salmon. Diane was our server and she was more than patient and professional

Having eaten at the old location we invited friends to this new one. The interior is weird. My friend likened it to a senior living cafeteria. We all liked the food and the cocktails were good. But they only have one brand of Vodka, no coffee and one dessert. The service was great. I just hated the ambiance. It felt weird and cheap, like they just moved in. They said it was February that they moved in... perhaps they are experiencing supply chain issues? Hope they fix the inside it took away from the evening.

Food and service were very good. Had the ribs and the meat was very tasty and came right off the bones. The bread was amazing. The decor and ambience need improvement at the new location.

This is our favorite restaurant. I often have the salmon or the other fish special and my husband enjoys the pizza or chicken. The beer and wine list is great (they do wonderful cocktails as well). I love their salads, particularly the little gem. I am gluten free and the staff often holds a fish filet for me in case the prep involved breading. I REALLY appreciate that. The staff is helpful and friendly and their new location is very nicely done. Highly recommend Decker Kitchen!

Nice people work here! Perfectly paced service. I always feel relaxed & not rushed. Great cocktails, food consistently good. Fresh & creative salads, homemade bread is too good!! Lots of choices to share, roasted olives, cheese or meat boards, even great pizza. My fav entree is roasted salmon, fresh & perfectly cooked. Look forward to coming back!
