Consistency, consistency, consistency. We were in on Valentine's Day and purchased six of the February specials (Raspberry Romance, Mocha Truffle - both are our favorites so we got three each) O...M...G... EVERY cupcake was AMAZING, the cupcakes were moist, the frosting was melt-in-your-mouth and all were perfectly balanced. We were in this Sat 4/6 and purchased six of this month's specials (German Chocolate, S'mores, Berry Pie). Unfortunately, this time EVERY cupcake was DRY and needed every ounce of the frosting. Unfortunately, we have had the similar experiences over the past couple of years. Spending $30 for a half dozen cupcakes is so worth it when we get the moist, delicious cupcakes but it's really tough to swallow (literally) when we get the dry, disappointing ones.

It's a sad thing when the cupcakes are less appetizing than the stale rice cakes that have been sitting on your counter all week. These cupcakes were very dry, and the frosting was simultaneously flavorless, and both the texture and consistency of glue.

Excellent! My son just launched his Laker & basketball podcast "BUHA'S BlCK" on Apple & Spotify. We needed a special cake to celebrate. I ordered a red velvet cake with his logo on it. It was incredibly delicious! Moist inside and the cream cheese frosting & filling was perfection! Everyone LOVED it and asked about the bakery. This will be my go-to for great cakes!

Used to be my favorite cupcake store, not anymore. Received email last week for free birthday cupcake with any purchase by end of this month. Salesperson at counter kept disputing, saying "we're not doing that anymore". Showed her recent email, "well I'll do it this time" in a tone as if she was doing me a favor. Poor customer service. I can buy cupcakes elsewhere and will from this point forward.

Sweet Arleen's is always good! I recently got their specialty sweet pack which is 12 mini cupcakes for $24. Each one I tried was delicious... my favorites were red velvet and banana caramel.

Your cupcakes made our BrightStar Care Valentine Blood Drive Very Sweet! Your cupcakes are the Best! Thank you so much for supporting our Community. Your place was in full splendor of Valentine goodness yesterday. The blood drive saw 28 donors and collected 30 pints of blood (2 gave double red blood cells, which count as 2). These pints will go to help up to 76 patients at the hospitals we serve, including Los Robles in T.O. and West Hills Hospital in the San Fernando Valley. Thanks for supporting our Community! 4.4 stars overall! Cute, award winning cupcake bakery tucked into a Westlake plaza. Food - scrumptious cupcakes. These are some hefty cupcakes, and they're delicious. Have been going to this bakery for many years now and the quality remains the same - superb! My husband and I always order the peanut butter cupcake, both with the pb frosting and fudge frosting. I love it, it's on my "last meal" wish menu. But really all of their cupcakes are great- the s'mores, banana caramel, the cookies and cream - YUM! I also went here once with a keto buddy, and they had a keto display. Service - mostly friendly and efficient. Although upon arrival, it seemed like management could've been reprimanding an employee. But we were greeted kindly not long after. We ordered a few cupcakes and the employee quickly composed himself and even jokingly asked if we like peanut butter. (Given that we had ordered 3 pb cupcakes) And he let us know that we get a free one because of their loyalty rewards system. It was lovely customer service, as always. Ambiance - charming, cute cupcake bakery. Small corner store front with only room for the display cases, this place is so delightful. No seating so definitely only pick up. There are several restaurants at this plaza; this a great place to pick up dessert after lunch. Advice - sign up for their loyalty rewards. I guarantee you'll come back, it just makes sense to get a free cupcake one of those times.

Advertised as Vegan & Gluten Free but doesn't have any items that are both Vegan & GF. It was listed on the menu but the lady at the counter said they didn't have any items that were both. Kinda disappointed as it seemed like a cool place

I'm starting off by saying I normally don't leave bad reviews because I don't spend the time to bother, but when I say that this was the absolute WORST cupcake I have ever had i felt compelled to leave a review. My Dad's birthday was the other day and I placed my order a week in advance for the sugar free chocolate cupcakes and a sugar free cheesecake. The cheesecake was really good, but the cupcakes were inedible. They were grainy, they fell apart, were not fluffy, did not taste good and tasted stale/old. It tasted like they put the cupcakes in a box at the time I placed the order and they let them sit there for a week. I'm not sure how their other normal cupcakes taste because this was my first time here or maybe this was a bad batch, but this cupcake straight tasted like cocoa powder. There was no sweetener in it whatsoever and the consistency of the cupcake was horrendous. The only good thing about this cupcake was the frosting. I know sugar free items don't taste the same and don't have the same consistency, but this was inedibly disgusting. If this is how their sugar free cupcake tastes then they should just take it off the menu.
One bite and you'll be welcomed with the perfect balance of sweetness and flavor of each element presented. We got assorted traditional and special mini cupcakes. Very easy to consume. It's like sushi just one bite and it's a party. We'll definitely come back when our sweet tooth kicks in!

Their cupcakes are cute and tasty, but I'm not sure if I want to be treated the way I was by a staff member today. He was young, and I'm not sure why he's in that position. I can clearly see that he doesn't have any idea of what customer service is like, and he was not hiding the fact that I was nothing but an annoyance to him. There are so many great cupcake places that I can choose from in this area. Not here after today's visit.

So many frustrating and disappointing elements to our experience with ordering a custom cake here. We were eager to try a cake from here based on the beautiful photos of their prior work and an encouraging conversation with the employee that took our order and helped nail down all the details of how we wanted the cake to look. Come pick up time, the cake was nothing like what we specified on the order - clearly some miscommunication from the person who took the order to the person decorating. Seeing the notes on the order sheet, they left out practically all of the details we had noted and provided sample pictures of so it’s no wonder the baker didn’t get it right. Past that, we were at least hoping it was going to taste good. Nope, HUGE disappointment there too. The sponge was super dense and dry, like a crumbly brick just covered in butter. Buttercream frosting wasn’t fluffy or soft and the proportion/layering of sponge to frosting was incredibly off. For a 7 in tall cake, having just ONE layer of frosting in the very middle is just absurd. It was clear that this cake was made to “look” good and hold up structurally but at the expense of everything else. And considering the “look” wasn’t even what we asked for, we honestly would have been better off just having a cardboard fake cake in place of this one. Huge waste of money and will not be recommending by any means.

I called to place an order on 9/6 at approximately 5 pm. I was told they were taking another order and was on hold for over 15 minutes and got disconnected. I called back several more times and was sent to a voicemail. I understand it was late in the day but all they had to do was tell me to call back tomorrow. Terrible customer service. I like to support local but terrible way to treat anyone.FINALLYI did call back one more time and was able to reach the employee who apologized and was able to take my order. So thank you I appreciate it.
