It was alright, but unbelievably expensive. I mean, really, $25 for a couple of eggs and potatoes seems extreme - even for Southern California!

Cheapest main dish around $21. Automatic 15% gratuity on the bill for a queue and order at the counter service, which is ridiculous (and the reason for the 2 stars). Floor staff was pleasant. Busy while we were there - 5-7 mins of queuing to order.

Great variety of food. We had the Chilaquiles, Huevos Rancheros, and breakfast burrito. Good size servings. Breakfast was pricey, about $20 per entree.

Please tell me this is a joke.
We all under that food and labor costs have gone up!
But you can’t be real. The $23 egg Benedict was rung up at over $27. The difference?
A MANDATORY service charge to help pay for the employees.
OMG !

I just walked out without ordering!

London Fog tea was quite special. Defo appreciated the freshly cooked brekkie meal i had. Poached egg on croissant with a side kale salad was all fresh and tasty but not too unhealthy. No upset stomach from too much oil or anything. Recommend.

We were visiting for the weekend and wanted to find a local gem for breakfast. This restaurant checked the boxes. The service was friendly, and the food was really good. We ordered the avocado toast, yogurt bowl with homemade granola and fruit, and a croissant. The serving sizes are generous and everything was fresh. I would recommend for anyone looking for fresh, local options that offer indoor and outdoor seating.

There is a hidden 15 percent hidden “service charge added to the bill which they masquerade as a tax. This was very off-Turing and deceptive. The receipt states this was”in lieu of accepting credit card tips & to help us provide a higher living wage for our hard working staff.” So, it sounds like the 15 percent doesn’t go to the staff. This was especially disappointing given the high prices. $45 for a piece of quiche, a muffin and 2 coffees.

The food is quite good.

It was amazing! I got the French toast and it was the best! I definitely recommend coming here. The service is amazing. The atmosphere is just welcoming and inviting, making you want to come back. I most certainly enjoyed the food here! The coffee cake is great also! The street tacos were pretty good too. So, please come here and try it out!

Vegetarian options: Mostly all the dishes are vegetarian so it is pretty good and mostly vegan too

Kid-friendliness: There is a little food section for kids and when I came there was a family with two kids so yes it is child friendly

I agree with others that stated this place is quite expensive, including the 15% service charge that’s automatically added to your check.
$20 breakfast burrito + 9.5% sales tax + 15% service charge fee = expensive for what you get.
The egg white wrap was pretty good, but the breakfast burrito was too salty for my pallet the fried potatoes and bacon overwhelmed the entire burrito
Friendly service from start to finish they run really tight ship here on turning tables and ensuring that everyone gets their food in timely matter their sweet look really good including their cinnamon roll which is only made on the weekends
Easy parking esp since it’s in a shopping Plaza overall ambience is very clean

Vegetarian options: A small section for vegetarians

Parking: Free parking lot in shopping complex

It was our first time visiting The Royal Egg Cafe in Westlake Village and I can say it’s the best restaurant in town for breakfast and lunch. Enjoyed their pancakes and breakfast burrito. Everything was fresh and made to order. Their staff were friendly and provided great customer service. Loved the atmosphere. We will be back again!

Love the quality and beautiful presentation of their food. Yes it is a bit more expensive due to the automatic tip added, but once you're used to the idea, you come to expect and appreciate it. The food is so amazing anyhow! I wish I could sample all the things on the extensive menu. Great vegetarian options!!
