Foods are fresh and very tasty. I always get good service and the price is very reasonable. Every time I come in B&J Baking it smells clean and bright. I have been referred my friends and families to go there for over 5 years.

B&J Baking Co makes the best banh bao's in the OC. These are better than more popular places like Yummy or Bao & Baguette. The bao is fluffy, not sticky at all, and stuffed with the right ratio of bao to filling. I have only tried the salted egg yolk which also has the normal ground pork, wood ear mushrooms, and Chinese sausage. It isn't too sweet or oily.

This is wholesale bakery that also sells retail. They sell banh baos and also several options for desserts that looked really amazing. They also have a coffee bar with excellent Vietnamese coffee ( called tuxedo). The banh bao were individually wrapped within the container and were very generously filled with the ground pork/chicken filling, lap cheong, and egg and vegetables . It was great texture and very filling, I was able to eat two for dinner and I was stuffed. I am not sure if you are able to buy the banh mi bread here but you could see the huge stacks of loaves being freshly baked and packed in the back and the bread in incredible. Would def recommend if you are into French loaves to pick up a 6 pack of baguettes . Excellent crust and beautiful, light chewy interior. It's everything you wish the banh mi stores had when you order. I ate like two loaves just with some soup and butter. It was that good. I am a fan.

I've been to many bakeries, and this place is the best. The quality of their pastries and food are always consistent and their prices are very reasonable. They make beautiful, artistic cakes, cupcakes, and many types of desserts. Their famous french bread and bao ( banh bao)are made fresh daily. It has been in Orange since 1988. The customer service is outstanding. This place has been newly remodeled with beautiful modern design. They always welcome me with a friendly smile.

Bought 8 baos here today for $20 total. They have 4 kinds: 1) OG $2.50 2) vegetarian $2.00 3) salted egg $2.50 4) special bao $3.00 Just ok because the bun is not as good as Chinese pork buns. The meat and egg combination inside is not very flavorful, not sure why the rave.

Best place to buy Banh Bao. Super delicious and cheap. Only $1.75 per Bao. Recommended this place. :-)

I really love their dough! It's so soft, moist, and fluffy and most places will be dense. I wish the filling had a bit more flavor so I had to give it 4 stars. It's the normal size Banh Bao you will see in stores. They have vegetarian buns on the weekends only though. I'll have to come back to try the vegetarian flavor. It really doesn't look like much on the outside and inside the store the buns aren't displayed or anything so you just need to know what you want and ask for it. Take out place only. Not a dine in store.

Summary: Not a lot of people know about this gem located in the ghetto alley on Bolsa Avenue. When you drive by, all you see are auto shops but if you look closely you'll see B&J Baking. This place specialize it pork/chicken bun (which is also call banh bao in vietnamese or tai pao in chinese). When you go to asian markets or TOGO place and see tai pao display nicely on the tray, I can bet 90% of them are from B&J Baking Co. B&J Baking baked them fresh early every morning and distributed them to local markets and restaurant.B&J Baking not only does wholesale but retail as well. You can buy one or two or even three dozen at a time for 1.25/each.Food: Tai pao (banh bao) contains ground pork or chicken, half hard boiled egg, mushroom, and onion.Overall: I always get two dozen when I'm in town. I like the way they steam it here. The starch is not thick and portion is perfect for $1.25.Just remember two things, this place always close at 1pm and only accept cash.
