Not really a restaurant, more of a fast food place. They do not offer the same menu items that show online, so be prepared to be disappointed. The only redeeming quality were their fish items. Was looking specifically for bamboo chicken/beef dish as it is not very common in other places and they had it on the online menu, but they only offered bamboo shoots as a side and it did not taste good at all. Very disappointed with their fried shrimp too. I will not be going there again.

I’ve been to their other locations and they’ve been fine). I’ve been there two times and the same result of feeling not welcomed there. I understand the employees first language isn’t English but my goodness I can’t comprehend what they’re saying and to top it off they get frustrated when you don’t understand them which even gets me frustrated because of the broken English. For their drive thru I ordered everything except I forgot to order the fish sauce (opps my bad it happens…). I go to the window and I ask if they can charge me for fish sauce. The cashier I clearly see has already has printed out the order but you can tell she looks annoyed and says, “you can’t have fish sauce” and “this (what I ordered) doesn’t go with fish sauce” [I’ve ordered fish sauce with the things I ordered before at another location] so I was pretty sure she just didn’t want to give it to me. WELP that was my “pleasant” experience and will be my LAST.

Horrible experience! My vietnamese wife just went to get a banh mi and received the worst service ever. She left without ordering anything. Perhaps the worst customer service ever seen!!! For the love of god, if you do business its your effing job to take orders!!! Beyond disappointed. Went to drive thru, lady was already in a bad mood when asked about the buy 2 get 1 free. We ordered 6 banh mi, she said park up front they bring it out. After a long time and over 10 cars behind have passed we walked in. Needless to say the guy in the back was just laughing until he saw how mad I was. We waited over 30 mins for 6 banh mi and they were not even busy. They just left it there and we were waiting the whole time in the front. The lady said she told him to bring it out but he didn't. 30 mins for drive thru and I had to go inside and get it otherwise I would still be waiting. Utterly ridiculous. All of them were cold, we live 5 mins from there.

Okay coming from the west side of LA this spot is a gem. I can’t find a banh mi on the west side for less than 12 dollars a pop and not only are they 5 bucks here but if I buy two I get one free? Sign me up. I walked in here and ended up ordering 2 bubble teas, 3 banh mi, 3 pate chaud, 2 egg rolls, a combo plate with 3 types of meat dishes and a veggie, AND a glutinous rice thing filled with meat and what have you. It came out to like…32 bucks? I had to ask if they missed something. GOLD MINE. I’ve already been back and hot damn it was just as good.

I come to this place about once per week, i had originally ratd place 5 stars, however i had a terrible experience tonight. I ordered food and they told me i would have to take it to go since they were closing soon and I was ok with that. However i asked for siracha sauce to go but she said it was going to be a dollar, i asked why if siracha is always free with you order and each table has one and you can grab as much as you want, the only difference was that we were not dinning in since they were closing. I did not have cash only card, and minimum purchase is $10 i had already paid for my food so they couldn’t charge me $1 on my card, my food is not the same without siracha, i was really bummed out but i saw they had cups for water so i grabbed a cup for water and squeezed a little bit of siracha less than half an 8oz cup. They lady saw me and caused a big scene in front of other customer’s. She said its was $1 my thing is that why would she charge me if sauce is always free with our order when we eat there. She was yelling at me, i tried to explain yo her that if i would of ate there siracha is 100% free why cant i take a little to go. But she didn’t let explain and started talking about me to other customers and her co workers, maybe i was wrong for taking siracha since its to go but i feel like she didn’t have to yell and try to embarrass me in front of all the other customers, i wont be coming back here. Customer service has never been great here but we were willing to deal with it cause food was good but i feel like this was just too much
Great Vietnamese Banh mi sandwiches and food. Can get quite busy and sandwiches on baguette or french bread are made fresh, so be prepared to wait. Other foods include Pho (soup) and noodle dishes. They also serve milk tea and have great prices. If you go inside they offer different grab and go foods that are Vietnamese staples. Egg rolls are yummy and they serve hot food to go style. Walk up and select the food and they serve it up to take with you. You can also dine there. Fast and organized service, facility is clean.

03.06.21 Just FYI : Went here last week and they moved to Pho banh Mi che Cali. Same plaza , closer to McFadden Street. My go to place for quick pick of different vegetarian food in a container. Price is also inexpensive.

Just an update on location change and menu options. As of 3/3/201, the restaurant moved to Banh Mi Che Cali Bakery & Restaurant at 15553 Brookhurst St, Westminster, CA 92683. As for the menu options, the last time I asked when the restaurant was at the old place, all you can eat buffet was no longer available. I doubt if they have it back at the new location. What's also new is white rice is the base. Chow mein and fried rice are both entrees now. The new staff give you less vegan curry. You'll get charged extra for plastic soup boxes if you want to order curry or soup like you used to in the past. Don't hesitate to ask the staff if they are coming out with new batches of food when some items are noticably so little left (just make sure you'll get the most out of what you pay for a 6-item tray). The food at the new place is of the same quality, only given less generously than the past. Most takeout customers hardly follow line queue or social distancing because the restaurant has dine in now and no dedicated line to get in. Expect some wait for service.

After seeing a great review on google. I drove all the way from Newport to this place. I can’t speak Vietnamese and I had hard time understand them. The worst was they were so rude to me and my daughter was shocking by seeing how they treated me. I look like Vietnamese but it doesn’t mean I can speak your language. I hope they hire at least a staff who can speak and understand English.
