My friend took me here for dinner last night. Good food. Nice service. Will come back

Service wasn't the greatest, ordered a drink and it came out after my meal was done. Food was okay, egg whites weren't even cooked. I love mine runny but it was like they straight up cracked eggs directly in there lol I see some people comparing this to NEP cafe you are tripping, it's no where near

Never felt so disrespected and unwelcome before. Came to meet friends who suggested this place for lunch. It was quiet and only had about 3 tables occupied for a Saturday. Some of the patrons kindly let us know it was self-seating and that the food was good since they could tell we were a bit lost. We went towards the back to look for a bigger table for 9 when a worker screamed from the register "no seafood, only at night." We didn't come for seafood so proceeded to sit to wait for the others who were parking but nope, worker then basically yelled at us to go to 8th Haus!? Bye!

This is only because it was closed =[ I wanted to come here for dinner on a weds night at 630pm but for some reason it was closed. I did see someone there but I didn't see anywhere on Google or yelp saying anything other wise. Would definitely love to try this place one day.

If you love Nep, you MUSTTT try this place!! Lowkey thinks it's way better and more flavorful, and also the portion is just huge and perfect for sharing!! I don't often come back to re-try restaurants but this is one I will become a regular at. Highly recommend the pork meatball banh mi Chao and filet mignon rice. No line at all so take the advantage of trying this place before it gets more poppin. They also have a seafood place that is "kickin crab" style, which I will have to come back for. I will say they are a bit short staffed but they're very nice!! Pls be patient with the service and the food will be so worth your time and money.

We have eaten at this place before a long time ago and at the time, the food quality and service was really good. However, it's very disappointing now which leads us to believe they have swapped owners. The staff is not very professional and everything came slow including wait time for ordering, waters, and all the food. We likely waited 25-30 min or more just for the food and we were the only ones in the store. The bò né had a white sauce over it that was not good and had an unpleasant consistency. The food was only a bit warm and the egg was barely cooked with the whites yellow clearish and runny. We also had the tamarind wings which tasted a little artificial and a bit storebought. The wings were also overcooked and tough. Only utensils were provided and not personal plates/bowls. Don't recommend trying it now since it has changed a lot

I ordered the banh mi chao and the eggs were undercooked. The meatball and the egg inside had an unpleasant smell and taste to it. The owner who was an older man was rude to me. I am not coming back here again.

Very very dissatisfied and disappointed. I love Pho’ and I always like to try new places. Taste and flavor was not good, spring rolls were hard like if they’ve been sitting for a while. Service was not good, ended up leaving, taking it to go. There was only 1 couple there when we arrived so to be treated rudely was unacceptable, I will not return.

I miss the previous owner/management where quality and service were always great! We came back here today and ordered the usual plates - banh mi chao siu mai and banh mi chao ribeye. Both skillets came out where the eggs were uncooked. We asked them to recook it and had to wait 15 min and when it came out it was still uncooked so we ended up waiting another 30 min for our eggs to be right. The old man was rude and never apologized, he even told us the eggs being uncooked was correct which was outrageous as he yelled at us and said we were in the wrong! Never did he apologize for the long wait for them to recook the eggs both times but yelling at customers is the worse thing he could have done! We are never ever coming back here again'. If i could give this place a 0 I would! If you like uncooked eggs, and getting yelled at, you may like this place.

This place is not a place that I will encourage others to go. I feel so frustrated, rejected by one the staff this morning when I came there to eat. It shows that the restaurant was opened with a a sign says open. I entered the shop and I was also on phone at the same time. The guy who saw me was like looking at me suspiciously when I asked I'm here to eat. He said we are nor opened. I told him but the sign outside says you are opened. He was like go out we are not open and he was like directing me out and closed the door. This to me looks a racist approach and I don't know maybe because I'm black and that's why I was addressed this way. This is shameful for you company to have treated someone who comes to buy food that way and I want everyone to know my experience with this people. This happens around 11.25am 03/01/24. I couldn't get the name of this racist staff.

The food here is sooooo gooood!!! I think they have the best bánh mỳ chảo in OC. If it's your first time here, I would recommend you called different types of Bánh Mỳ Chảo depending on the number of people you have. So if you have 3 people then call 1 ribeye & truffle (my favorite one as it's easy-to-eat flavor, 1 Sichuan peppercorn (the flavor might be hard for Vietnamese elders to eat but it's good), the last one can be pork meat ball (I haven't try but it should be good) or beef tenderloin (it's easy to eat and taste good like the ribeye & truffle one too but I think it's little bit salty for my personal taste). And you definitely need to call for 1 more portion of bread for each person because the one they give you won't be enough unless you don't want to get too full.

Don't go to or eat at MAMA AN Eatery located at 614 S Brookhurst St, Anaheim,Ca.92804. It's under new ownership and the old owner is rude and doesn't care about customers. Plus the Food is terrible and took over 1 hr after order to receive it. The Pho Wagyu was not made with wagyu beef and the soup was unbeatable, the Pho Ga was made with frozen Chicken( tasted like Costco Chicken for $4.99).

First time here at this spot for breakfast! It's a little hidden restaurant that's located in the Stater Brothers shopping center. It's super cute ambiance inside and great customer service! We ordered 2 Ube coffee's & a match coffee. We got the mix and match pork ball skillet, Szechuan wagyu skillet, ribeye skillet that come with pate( delicious) & pho. The skillets reminded me of a deconstructed banh mi, but so much more flavor! Omg it was so rich and savory! I wanted to order more off the menu!! I would like to come back and order something new! The skillet comes with warm French baguettes. I'll be dreaming about this...

Love love love the taro coffee. Must try!We came very early in the morning right at the opening hour so I feel like the food is hot but not sizzling hot (which would have been nicer for this type of food) but other than that it is super delicious. Will come back again

I'm so happy that I don't have to drive all the way to Nếp Cafe in Fountain Valley to enjoy elevated Vietnamese food. Don't let the "mom and pop" name of the restaurant fool you, Mama An's culinary fare consists of modern and stylish takes on traditional Vietnamese dishes that are not only delicious but also beautiful to look at. This restaurant really succeeds in delivering on both bold flavor and presentation with their food. It makes me wonder why so many people don't know about this gem of a restaurant yet because it was not busy at all when I ate there today for lunch.I had their shaken beef with rice and my mother had the banh mi chao. We also got these cute and yummy lemonades that came complimentary with the entrees (so not only is the food good, you also get a deal here). Now, for the shaken beef, I really liked that it's an elevated version of the dish that I've grown up eating multiple times. My previous experiences eating shaken beef at restaurants merely consisted of the beef, white rice, and a simple salad of lettuce, tomato and cucumber. And so, the dish at Mama An's was a very pleasant change; it was new yet still recognizable as a shaken beef dish. The flavors of the savory beef, the slight bitterness and acidity of the garnish, and the mellowness of the herb rice all worked really well together - I practically inhaled my whole plate and cleaned it too.My mother, who comes here more often than me, had the banh mi chao, which is basically Vietnamese steak and eggs. She personally thinks the dish here is better than the one from Nếp Cafe and that the food at this restaurant generally is a better bang for the buck. She believes that everything, especially the eggs, were cooked better and not as overly rich compared to Nếp's. In addition, Mama An offers many different variations of banh mi chao. I really hope that more people, especially the OC's Vietnamese community who might not be aware of this place, will notice this restaurant and give it a shot because it definitely deserves more recognition and foot traffic.
