Yooo…. this place was awesome! I ordered #4 and #6 to go — super friendly service. I love that you can opt into the crispy sticky rice for #6, the grilled lemongrass chicken is so tasty and complimented well with cucumbers and lightly pickled onions. Since I was ordering it to go, they packed the crispy sticky rice separately which was so thoughtful so that it didn’t get soggy. And for #4 the hainan style chicken you can choose dark meat or white meat or both. The sticky rice is super flavorful and I love that they included Thai basil. If I lived near here I’d def be a regular. Try it out if you’re in the area! Both entrees came with a side a chicken broth which was so so good and a nice way to finish the meal. Haha sorry for sounding like a commercial. I’m a fan!

The bun bo hue here is one of the best, if not the best, in OC! Despite this place being known for their chicken and rice, the bun bo hue is a hidden gem that has a nice depth of flavor in the soup, plenty of good cuts of meat, and they have the traditional veggie toppings like banana root.

I ordered the number 4. Xoi Ga Nam An (comes with soup on the side), they offered the choice of just stick rice or crispy stick rice. I went with crispy, it came with a special sauce for the rice. The dipping the sauces were amazing were also really good, different types of savory. The chicken was very moist and tender. The bones were removed from the chicken. Overall the dish was really good.

Came back to this Vietnamese-run Hainanese chicken rice spot after 3 years. Chicken portion has definitely shrunk (and price went up $1.10), but the soup that comes with the set tasted from real chicken but not bouillon.

Westminster’s Little Saigon has endless Vietnamese options, and this one’s still a solid pick for a casual meal!

Very traditional Vietnamese hainan chicken dish! I love the three sauces, specifically the ginger one is to die for! The sticky rice is seeping with flavor. My husband ordered the pho, which was velvety and full bodied!

I can’t stop thinking about the meal I had at Nam An Chicken Rice. If you’re a fan of bold flavors and perfect textures, this place delivers in every way.

The real standouts? The crispy rice and lemongrass chicken. The crispy rice is something special—golden, crunchy, and full of that toasted, nutty flavor that makes you slow down and savor every bite. It’s not just a side; it steals the show.

And the lemongrass chicken? Unreal. Perfectly marinated, juicy, with just the right amount of char and that fragrant lemongrass kick. It’s tender, packed with flavor, and pairs perfectly with the rice.

Service was quick, the food came out hot, and the portions were generous. You can tell there’s real care put into every plate.

Definitely a go-to spot when you’re craving something comforting but elevated. Don’t sleep on this place.

- Ordered the sticky rice version of the classic chicken rice dish to try, and I definitely didn't regret the choice! The restaurant offers options to customize the boneless chicken exactly to your liking. Also got a side of the young egg which was fun to munch on between bites!

- Clean, spacious, and a overall a great place to eat meals with your friends/family, especially if you have a larger group.

Overall: Hainan chicken is a delicious, savory dish and Com Ga Nam An does it justice. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I have heard many great things about this restaurant and decided to give it a try. I ordered their signature dish, which is the hai nan chicken and couldn't have been happier with my choice. The chicken with the various sauces were great accompaniments and the rice was super flavorful. One of the better hai nan chicken places I have been to. Will definitely be coming back for more!

The service was quick and friendly. I also felt very welcomed by the open concept design and the restaurant itself felt very clean. The food was excellent and unique Vietnamese food. The most unique and tasty chicken dishes that are well paired with sides and sauces. Prices super reasonable. I honestly thought the prices should be more expensive for what it is. I drove 1.5 hrs to come and will be coming back :)

First time trying Hainan chicken, and was very impressed. I’m used to more typical Vietnamese places, but this was a welcome change from the usual. What struck me first was how reasonable the prices were, and the portions didn’t disappoint.

Be sure to try the crispy sticky rice!

The Com Ga was pretty good! Definitely not the best I’ve had. Service was OK, we didn’t have to wait long for a table or our food. But this restaurant has really ran down. Kinda dirty, unkept and they didn’t even turn the AC on. Not a great dine-in experience but maybe worth a carry out if you’re craving Com Ga.

We have eaten in restaurant once and this time We ordered “com goi ga “ to go. Restaurant was not busy ( one table) when I entered but no one was able to greet me or provide service for a while so I waited. Was disappointed when opened the container at home because at $18 per order , there was barely any food. The cabbage was ok , but…. where’s the meat ? Seriously there were four small bony pieces of chicken . That seems like a rip off to me. I didn’t expect a whole chicken or anything, of course and I know prices have gone up on everything, however it doesn’t seem right to actually serve like that and charge that price . Other than this the fish sauce and broth that comes with the dish are spot on and the restaurant is large and clean with a good atmosphere. Parking can be a real challenge , though.
