The bun dau mam tom was a disappointment. It wasn't what I expected. The portion was small, the vermicelli wasn't shaped in cubes, and they didn't have chả cốm, which is the one of the key components of a real real northern bun dau mam tom. But their vegetables were fresh.
We thought this is a new location of a very popular Northern Vietnamese noodles restaurant (same name) but it's not and it's worse. They have limited selections. The food was just OK but the service was great and friendly. The parking is only for the restaurant and some additional street parking so it's not an issue. They do have temp outdoor dining area. They only take cash.
They charge $1 for a small ice water. That's the bummer! The signature Bún Chả Hà Nội is not char-coal grilled as expected as per advertised.Generally, the taste is there, not top notch, but acceptable quality. Services is ok.I am a Hanoi-er, and this is not bad.
not sure about their other foods cuz I only eat Bún Chả n Bánh Tôm there & their food r just awesum ?This restaurant close every Tuesday, but today I was so craving for bún chả Hà Nội so I Googled for any similiar restaurant n I found Hà Nội Corner locating near Brookhurst n Chapman so I placed order of 2 Bún Chả n 1 Bánh Tôm n OMG, their food is so damn bad comparing to this place.
Their bun rieu oc has way too much sugar in it, way too sweet, not much taste left.A bowl with a cup of teas costed $18 plus tip, way overpriced. It's easy to make that kind of soup, even better and tastier for only a few bucks. i will cook more at home.
highly recommended Bun Cha and Nem Cua Be
It baffles me that restaurants like this can stay open given the competition. This place is a disgrace. I thought I was in some kind of dark comedy: 2 crab egg rolls with some very sad and dirty vegetables, and cold, almost expired noodles came out to $16. They charge $1 for water. FOR TAP WATER. I could end the review there! BUT….The veggies came out in what looks like a used produce bag, and which I am sure they will use again for the next customer. The egg rolls were trenched in oil. I took a few bites and left. I did leave a tip for the workers because I am sure they are being paid under minimum wages. The old lady was very aggressive and rude, to the workers and to customers. One customer was using the restroom, and apparently, there is a time limit, so she went to bang on the door. What? As others said, expensive prices, below average food. Be careful, folks.
Food is average but price is outrageous, extremely high. Not recommended. 2 star is the best I can give.
Good, authentic Ha Noi dishes. Prices are reasonable.
Kinda expensive for at home quality vietnamese food
Restaurantji Recommends
The best place for Vietnamese food in Westmister. The owner has a beautiful personality and is always very warm toward all the customers. I recommend her restaurants to all my friends and family.
Food was ok. Cash only place.
I love their bun cha and bun rieu, as they taste authentic (to me). This is one of the handful of restaurants I frequent in Westminster.
This is good food from North Vietnam.
Very authentic Northern Vietnam food!
