The lady owner was horribly rude. We didn’t even get a chance to sit down yet even before blatant lack of respect and service began. Basically, boss lady barked that to our waitress that we can’t sit at a booth. The horrid PMS facial expression was a signal to flee immediately.

The restaurant overall is clean, bright and welcoming. We ordered bún chả very good. Not much fat like some other places. Good service. We will visit again.

We have often eaten at Hong Mai restaurant for many years now. Recently this shop has seriously deteriorated. The service is very bad, the staff have dead faces and don't know how to greet or welcome guests. The old food is not fresh and probably doesn't have a chef anymore so the quality is so bad. From now on, I will leave this shop forever, waiting for the new owner to come and stop by.
The wet cake is very delicious, the dipping sauce is also very delicious, but the side dishes: cucumber and basil are not sliced too big.
