The sushi here was phenomenal! I’ve been vegetarian for three years now, and this sushi really hit the spot. It tasted just like the real deal! It’s a crime that this place was empty during lunch hour because it deserves more attention! I gave the restaurant 3 stars on atmosphere because the outside is super uninviting (we almost thought the restaurant was closed because) the windows are all covered up. But the inside is nice, and the staff is friendly. Definitely recommend!Vegetarian options: All of it is vegan, so by default vegetarian.-

The atmosphere has a more of a group or a somehow a vibe that can explain of being in a group or pair is enjoyable, but as a single customer, the sitting is stiff and unknown vibe to be welcome to the placement. The food is interesting, and the sushi is a replacement of fish with vegetable paste that replicated the favors to a minimum. The Hawaii plater is a different story. As the creative food element is there, the problem is that I came aware of the different temperatures of each section of food. The rice is cold to be a bit of sticky rice, the macaroni is kinda warm to be a salad, and the plant base meat is ok, but lack the foundation cover or support the side dish. Which comes to detail to be a plater is a lack of food quality to be concentrated on the plant base meat instead of the size to be equal in freshness. As I try their shumi, the smell from the wood and the way it use is different by lack in understanding that a steam basket used to give some flavor to the food by steaming foods with a use of broth, vegetable juices, or leaves to give a different aspect to the taste with smell. Instead, it leads to only water and the wood of bamboo, which smells multiple uses. The food is a hit with the sushi and creativity of use to vegetables as a based, but lack in the details that can bring the food home to a great place to eat.

Food is absolutely delicious, very friendly service. It is a great place not only for foodies living on a plant-based diet.

I got the crunchy cali roll, sweet roll, seared salmon roll and seaweed salad. I shared them with one other person and it was just enough to fill us up. All of the rolls were delicious. This was my second time coming here and I can't wait to come back!

Kensho is hands down the BEST Vegan restaurant in Orange County! I absolutely love their Crunchy Cali Rolls. As a vegan for 7 years, I thought I would miss out on sushi, but Kensho's sushi is spot on and satisfies my cravings perfectly. I've tried other vegan sushi spots, but none compare to the quality and flavor at Kensho. If you disagree, then your taste buds must be off. Highly recommend

When we came here they had apparently had a leak and the whole place had a strong cleaning product smell which was not the greatest. It also looked very closed from the outside but was actually open. So atmosphere was interesting. There was only one server but he was very friendly and helpful. The sushi here compared to the other two vegan sushi places I’ve been to takes more of a copying fish sushi approach, as opposed to embracing more vegetable flavor and vegetable sushi as its own unique thing, which i would prefer. Still, the sushi was very yummy! I liked the crunchy cali and the lava you one. Didn’t really like the fake shrimp, it was a bit rubbery.

The venue is small and modest but the food is amazing. Share plates! Don’t expect anything fancy but do expect to have one of the best vegan sushi ever.
