Some of the best, freshest bahn mi in the OC- love the bbq pork as theirs is always fresh and soft, and if you add a fried egg to it- chefs kiss. Service is friendly and great viet coffee
Very good sandwiches at reasonable prices.
I dare you to find a better Banh Mi in Orange County.
Disappointing Experience at Lynda’s Sandwich
I’m someone who typically loves Lynda’s Sandwich Shop and their Bahn Mi. In fact, I’ve never had an issue with their food or staff before, but my recent visit on 10/23 was an unfortunate exception.
I came in around 3:30 p.m. and placed an order for four chicken sandwiches with egg and extra special sauce. The cashier asked, “Four Lynda’s Specials?” Assuming that “Lynda’s Special” meant what I described (chicken, egg, and extra special sauce), I said yes.
However, when I got home, I realized the sandwiches were incorrect. None of them had chicken or egg, so I drove back to the shop to explain the mistake. When I informed the cashier, he told me that if I wanted the correct sandwiches, I’d have to pay again. I calmly explained that I had already paid for four sandwiches and that I just wanted the ones I ordered.
The cashier stood firm, saying I confirmed the “Lynda’s Special” and that was what I received, so my options were to either take the sandwiches or pay for another set. I got frustrated at this point and insisted they either refund my money or remake the sandwiches I had originally asked for.
After a tense back-and-forth, he eventually agreed to remake the sandwiches, but only "this one time." While I appreciated that he finally resolved the issue, it was an unnecessarily difficult situation, and the customer service was disappointing.
To make matters worse, after the argument, I didn’t feel comfortable eating the sandwiches I’d gotten. I genuinely don’t enjoy raising my voice or having confrontations like this, and I don’t plan on returning to Lynda’s in the future.

The banh mi chay was absolutely delicious! There are many other unique items on the menu that I'm eager to try next time. The black ice coffee was a bit lighter than I expected from a Vietnamese coffee shop. It almost tasted like a donut shop coffee with ice added. While it wasn't bad, I hoped for a darker, stronger flavor.
The service was great, the shop was clean, and the food came out quickly.

The subs grind the meat which is different from what we’re used to in the northeast, so I don’t know if it’s this particular restaurant or a west coast thing. Wicked awesome sandwiches. Had 3 different, all good!

I ordered special bread, got home and opened it. There was only char siu and shredded chicken.
At that restaurant, there were too many people who booked in advance and business was not orderly, which made me very upset. After waiting for a long time, I paid extra for the special ham sandwich, but it was terrible to eat. There was no ham or sausage at all.
I'm very disappointed because I'm so far away and now I have to pay it back. Experience: If anyone has an order, open it and see it immediately on the spot.
I’m in the plaza conveniently stopped to get a coffee and it’s a mixed watery. Not only that the price had increased to $5+ instead of $4. Won’t come back ever again. They don’t train their employees to make the coffee.
