Sadly the chicken and rice here are no longer 2 bucks. As a matter of fact, a lot of things on the menu is no longer that price. False advertisement if you ask me. What’s the point of naming your restaurant after a price that you don’t offer anymore? It’s like going to dollar tree or .99 cent store and seeing $20 items. Disappointing, used to love their dishes!

You know that stereotype if a chinese rest has 3.5 stars you should eat there? Well this place is it. The com ga roti dish is the best and what I go for. Good prices so far too compared to other places.

If you want to talk nostalgic, it's here. I've been here since I was a kid-kid. Yes it used to be $1.99, and now it's 10x the price ($10.99) but the food has never changed, the taste and consistency has remained the same, I am now 31 years old, and my children are eating it! Forever coming here, the Cornish hen is always so golden and crispy, and the workers, apparently remembers me from when I was young. I am amazed and in awed also, I ask for extra sauce, because I literally drench my rice with it lol!

For a restaurant that advertised $1.99, nothing on the menu was $1.99. False advertisement can lead to a lawsuit. I bought Com Bo Beef Steak for $10.25 plus tax and it was such a disappointment. It was not appetizing at all.

Always love the chicken. It's had been 19 yrs keep coming back from the started price $1.99 to $12 by 2023 but quality still same. Other dishes was great and drink also taste good.

I used to come here as a kid for their com ga chien, and it is just as good as I remember! The sauce is AMAZING. I wish I knew what was in it so that I could make it myself. It goes so well with the chicken and rice. Pour some sauce on the rice, and dip the chicken in the sauce as you eat it! I wish the pickled veggies were a tad bit more sour, but they go really well with the meal! I called to order ahead, and when I arrived a few minutes later (~15 minutes) it was already ready! Note: this place is cash only.
This place tastes just as good as it did when I was a kid. Five stars just for the Com Ga. I usually don't get anything else because I come here just for that. The red rice is so good. Simple but delicious. The chicken is good too and I love the flavor on the skin. The sauce is EVERYTHING- there is no sauce as good as this one. I love that it also comes with an egg now too. Definitely not $1.99, but I feel like it's still a decent price compared to any other restaurant now.Sometimes the chicken is bigger than others, but still good nonetheless. We always come back for more!

Just realized that I haven't written a review for nha hang 1.99 yet so here I am. I swear there is crack in their sauce or something bc it is hella addictive. Service is quick and efficient. I always come here atleast once when I visit CA.

I liked everything but your prices... I have enjoyed eating at your restaurant for so many years, your food and service have always been top-notch! You used to have the best prices anywhere also, but I guess this time the National economy has hurt you too! I'm sorry to find this out... Also you used to have pho... Menu has changed so much!
