Disappointed. We waited 20 minutes for only 2 banh mi, if only they had told us in advance we would have cancelled the order and gone literally anywhere else to get banh mi within 3 minutes.
The “grilled beef” is actually stir fried beef. The bun is tiny for $2.75. Would not recommend, would not come back.

Charged 20% more when using credit card was completly none sense, and considered scam. They must disclose it on the website or at the store. the owner just want to use cash as much as they can to avoid paying tax. That was the problem with Vietnamese business owners here in Little Saigon.

I honestly don’t get the hype around this. The bun itself is soft and fluffy, which is nice, but the filling was a letdown. There’s way too much shallot, which overpowers the other flavors, and the quail egg was chewy in a way that didn’t feel right. On top of that, the pork filling had a very strong smell that was hard to ignore.
I tried this because a friend highly recommended it, but it didn’t live up to the expectations at all. It’s not something I’d go out of my way for again. Definitely not worth the hype in my opinion.

Customer service was phenomenal! You can get Che or banh bao for a good price! The banh bao is a little small, so getting a box of them is a great idea!

I love to support local businesses but the customer service was the worst at this location.
I am a regular customer of Yummy Banh Bao's Matcha Tofu. Every time I buy a lot. But Yummy has changed from plastic jars to paper jars. In the past, plastic jars also had a fixed tray. Since switching to paper jars, there is no fixed container, and the jars break easily. After I bought it, when I got home, 2-3 jars were broken and stacked on top of each other. Whatever you do, you have to think about customers, not just for profit without paying attention to quality, that's too bad. I won't support anymore???…

Custard buns are no longer on their menu, so I asked just to make sure and they said they do have it. Bought 2. Tasted nothing like the custard buns of my childhood. Very runny and more like salted egg yolk.

Last Tuesday afternoon, I went to Yummy to buy 12 jars of tofu ($3), 12 pieces of flat bread ($2.5), and a portion of 3-color beef cakes. The guy who charged me was low and quite smart. I'm $75, how much is the beef cake? The cashier replied twice that it was $9 per bow, while I previously bought the light yellow one for only $3. Charged me $75, but no receipt included! This is the third time this stall charged me more than what I actually bought. I think, doing business must be reputable and not cheating buyers. Receipt only has a few lines of text to compare back home. Don't get rich by "cheating" tricks!!!!
