An unexpected find with great beer and amazing views. Will definitely visit again (worth the long drive)!
Great beer and food.
Cool place to hang out in the back but I was definitely disappointed with the smallest portion of fish for our fish and chips. The server described it as 2 large pieces and they were the smallest pieces of fish and chips I’ve been served. However, they were tasty. The best part of the experience was playing corn hole.
Fantastic food, The Mexican Lager is delicious. Dog friendly, outdoor seating with great views.
You get there and you are greeted by a sign, “seat yourself”. After over twenty minutes and no acknowledgement from anyone, you need to go find a waitstaff to see if you can be waited on. Ten minutes later she comes back and we place our order; 3 orders of fish & chips, 1 fish tacos and 2 cups of chowder.
Fifteen minutes we receive 1 cup of chowder. Told waitress we ordered 2 and she said she would be right back. 45 minutes later we received our total order, which included the missing cup of clam chowder. All the food was cold and the portions were ridiculously small, fish was burnt. Total bill over $120….what a rip off. Just the day before we had fish & chips at Sea Pal in Fort Bragg and it was outstanding and $4.00 cheaper per order. So now I have the best and worst fish & chips in my life.
A beautiful evening, good friends, delicious food, good music and a fabulous sunset! What more could you want?
Delicious food and drinks. I had the shrimp and grits which was rich and the shrimp were perfectly cooked.
What a fantastic place. Brilliant atmosphere, great staff and amazing food/beer. Wish I had the recipe for the fish batter!!!!! Would recommend it to everyone. We drove from Benbow for the meal and the drive was an experience in itself.
Good place to go and drink beer ?
Out of the way, but a beautiful 55 minute drive from Garberville to the coast. Outdoor seating offers a fantastic panoramic view of the Shelter Cove air strip and ocean. 12 craft beers on-tap and great food to go with it. A perfect destination for an afternoon beer.

It is in a great spot, it looks nice in there. They have you order on a QR code, which is nice in some ways and can be confusing in others. Get there early, it can get busy. Food is good, but it is expensive and everything is "a la carte" which is always a terrible option in my opinion. Their kitchen is small and the service was SLOW. The only reason it gets four stars instead of three is because the food is good and the place is nice.
This place was amazing. I had the Rockfish tacos. My wife had the local fish and chips. The food was great, no questions about it. Now let’s talk service and atmosphere. Totally off the hook. They don’t make you feel like just another tourist. Make sure to say hi to Switch. You will love her.
Local rock fish for their fish and chips and ceviche. Both excellent, and they have a tasty in-house brewed non-alcoholic beer option. Amazing find in Shelter Cove, perfect after a fun loop around the Paradise Royale trail!
Came here 2x for my vacation!! This is the place! We had a whole wedding party the second day and everything was delicious ??
