I got 2 ciders and a nice sunset with deers
Loved it! How can a restaurant/bar in the middle of nowhere be so good? I don't know, but somehow Gyppo Ale Mill pulls it off. My partner & I were treated to great food & beverages, plus super friendly service, when we chanced upon this place. I requested a 16oz. glass of Chasing Rainbows Hazy IPA, for my drink & for my meal, I ordered the Dry-Brined Ribeye, with Chimichurri, accompanied by Shashito Peppers & a Roasted Corn Salad. Both the beer, & my entree were spectacular, no other way to put it.
My partner ordered their Gyppo Grassfed Burger
She loved the thick meat patty, packed with flavor, the fresh Brioche Bun was tasty, the fries were hot & crisp, plus she washed her food down with Gyppo's hop water, to drink, a beverage similar to sparkling water, but with its own unique taste.
When we walked in here, a live NFL game was playing, on all of the many flat screens, hanging on the walls above us, as well as a huge TV screen on the back wall.
Great oasis for food & drink, in a totally isolated area, on California's Lost Coast.
As an added treat, we passed a 2-year-old male deer, while leaving the parking lot..
Food and beer was great! Tables weren't clean though.
Great food and awesome atmosphere! We also loved the fact that they had a non-alcoholic beverage menu.
Must do when you have come all the way down to see the lighthouse! Stuff for the kids to do, great place to relax and enjoy your company with a view of the ocean. The fish and chips here were some of my favorite I have ever eaten, EVER. Trust my big pretty back on this. Dog friendly. Friendly staff.
Great good and beer. Always worth the wait.
Great views. Good food. Burger was great.
The service was spot on.
This is a really cool microbrewery! Great lawn in the back with games to play and a view of the airstrip and ocean! Very friendly staff with great attitude. And the beers are really good as well! Shelter Cove is unbelievably off the beaten path, but that is probably why it's so cool! Go there and enjoy!
The best food and great service. Live music and a great atmosphere. Dogs are allowed so the whole family can enjoy. We ate dinner here both nights of our stay and it was the defining highlight of our evenings. Planning another trip soon so we will be returning.
Great place to get delicious fish & chips and wash it down with their delicious drink offerings (even really tasty non alcoholic ones). Dogs are welcome and Clam chowder is also on the spot. This places is worth driving to for a bite and a drink (you can get there the hard way or easier way 😉)

Absolutely the dirtiest place I ever went to. The tables outside have never been cleaned and you can write your name in the filth. Wash your hands. Service slow but the minimum tip on machine is 20%.
I guess you can get away with this if there is no other option. I'm bringing food next trip.
Food was ok , but super expensive. 7 bucks for a small side of fries? Side of ranch 7$?.
I know it costs a bit more to deliver there but come on. It seems like the only interest is $$$. Not customer safety .
Great spot! Would come back again
Talking about a remote spot for a brewery, this one takes the cake! The driving adventure makes the beer and taste all the more better.
This is our second trip here. Ya gotta go here at least one in a lifetime.
This was the craziest drive I ever took to try a beer! However, if you are up for an adventure, Gyppo Ale Mill is worth it. The beer was excellent, and the food was great. I had the double bacon cheeseburger, and my wife had the fish sandwich. Both were worth the drive.
This is a really cool place. Their food is really good and they have singers play there. they have corn hole and pingpong. It is a great place to go eat if you're out there. Their prices are pretty expensive but I think it's worth it.
