Those people are monsters. Worst bar in the world. Long story short. I was 100% sober & I got truck stuck on beach by boat ramp, after dark.. beach was empty, didn’t have a phone or heater in truck. One year old crying and cold. 5 year old crying and cold..I tried to walk and get help. They told me to get lost and stay away from bar, which was only place open.forced my three kids to walk in dark, and prevented me from getting help or using a phone to save my truck off the beach. They Fallowed me wherever I went to ask for help. And made sure no one would help me. They Called cops and lied through there teeth. Accusing me of a crime they witnessed a female commit. I’m not a female. And I was to bizzy trying to get truck off beach for hours to commit any crime. They are down right retarded . And now my kids are all sneezing with snotty noses. Basically, a female broke one of thier windows, which I knew nothing about, So they decided to do everything they could to allow the ocean to destroy my truck. And endanger my young children. Even if I had broken a window. “Which I did not.” . Putting my children in danger and totaling my truck and trying to have me arrested is how they wanted to get even. That would be like knocking someones teeth out , cus you assume they may have stepped on your foot. Terrible people. They think they are better than the rest of us.

I just got a virgin spicy mango margarita and it was so delicious! The views are amazing and the place is very cute. A great vibe for when you visit Shelter Cove!

Such a cozy atmosphere. Right on the cliff overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean. Mario’s is 10/10 a great place to hang out after a day at the beach, hiking, or a day out fishing. Extremely talented curators make the food, drink, live music, and overall vibe truly exceptional. Watch whales spout and the fishermen come in while enjoying amazing food and the best drinks. An outdoor stage over the ocean, and lots of great hangout spaces make this place not to miss. I left part of my soul there when it was time to go home.

This place has an amazing view. I wish they served breakfast. Sushi was the best, Friday and Sundays. Clean, friendly staff, and again the ocean views.

Parking: Dirt parking lot.

My Wife & I recently spent an entire weekend in Shelter Cove where we discovered Mario’s Marina Bar. We had planned to just stop in for a drink or two but after spending Time Talking with the staff & taking in the views front the patio we ended up staying until closing time. Amy , Ray & Alex were so wonderful hosts & a huge help locating places to venture out to.The community seemed to be the most friendly group to gather here both nights with such enthusiasm to gather & relax, we left thoroughly impressed !All of the people we have recommended Mario’s to have returned with stories of their Love for the place & we all will be going back soon.

I love this bar and feel blessed to have it in shelter cove. Amy and Ray have put a lot of work into making it a sweet and comfortable place for the community to enjoy cocktails, music and a wonderful variety of food. Alex is a great bartender and makes a great old fashioned. They have sushi every Sunday that is to die for. It’s a great place to gather with friends and unwind with a drink while enjoying the view and breeze of the ocean.

Lovely spot to watch the ocean and hear the sea lions from the garden - we actually saw whales from a distance sitting in the garden. Kitchen was understaffed so had to wait for food a while but it was good once it got there. Menu changes according to who’s in the kitchen by the looks of things so you might get lucky! We recommend!

Love the locals! I asked if they had any crab on there menu, nope it was coming close to closing season.. I thought I was outta luck ,until this handsome gentleman popped over and asked how many crab ? did I want. I said I'd love a couple...took me to his truck and boat and gave me two beautiful dungeness crab ? ALIVE... That was perfect. Just the way I wanted them.. Took them to the fish cleaning station. I cleaned them, ran up the hill and cooked them. Love you Mr. Handsome fisherman.

The bar was newly renovated by Amy and her boyfriend, and her choice of decor created the cutest and coolest little setting. And there was a local playing live music the night we went there. Amy (also the bartender and a former chef in Portland) helped me pick out two drinks I really enjoyed and garnished them with a fresh edible flower from a vase - that was so cool. The food was delicious - really small menu that changes each day but we had fish and chips with local rockfish and a smashburger, and you could tell the fries were entirely homemade and just perfect. Such a fun evening and we were especially grateful for Amy writing down 10 more cool restaurants for us to visit on our road trip north (she used to be a head chef of a restaurant in Portland).
