First time visiting 1970, came here to celebrate my mom. When I walked in, an employee saw me but didn't greet me right away; it took about a minute or two before I was acknowledged and seated. My table was also dirty, and I noticed it didn't have the flower centerpiece the other tables had—not a big deal, just something I noticed. My server was friendly, although service slowed down toward the end and he disappeared for a while. I ordered the calamari, drunken clams, fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, and a side of the farmer's vegetables. Overall, the food was really good. The calamari had great flavor, though I personally would've liked the batter a little crispier. The pasta was delicious, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were flavorful. I also ordered the Kiwi Breeze drink and it was so good—not too sweet, full of flavor, and came with a cool presentation. The only downside was that I ordered the farmer's vegetables specifically because I wanted broccolini, but it came with regular broccoli instead. I let my server know, and then the manager came over to address it. She explained that broccolini had been removed from the menu and kindly offered a complimentary dessert, which was a nice gesture. Aside from that, the restaurant was very clean, including the restroom. The atmosphere was mellow, not too loud, and had good vibes overall. I would definitely come back.
The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to your needs. The cocktails are all delicious, each one uniquely and beautifully created with care. The restaurant itself is really pretty and well-appointed. Definitely try the salmon dish, it was superb!
The restaurant has a policy that if there are more than six people at a table, they charge an extra 18%. We consumed a reasonable amount, and on top of that, they charged us extra. I honestly hadn't noticed it on the menu; it's the first time this has happened to me.
Reservation was made before and table was ready before getting there. Host was very sweet and kind . Food was 10/10
Went here on a Friday night with my parents. Service was fantastic and the food was just incredible. It's slightly pricy but it's definitely worth it. It was a bit noisy where we sat but that's how a Friday night usually is. Went here with low expectations and it definitely exceeded them for sure. Would definitely recommend this place.
Two of my guests were first timers and the server did an excellent job of previewing the menu. The food was simply delicious.
We really enjoyed our time here and the food was delicious. Our waitress was ver helpful and friendly.
The service was wonderful! Me and my wife just got our marriage license before our reservation and we told them about it when they asked us if there was a special occasion . They brought us complimentary champagne and a dessert. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our experience and lunch. The Short ribs pappardelle was delicious and so are the appetizers we ordered. Everything was great. Definitely recommend this restaurant for date night.
The food was 5-Star quality! The cocktails were also very good. It was a little too noisy if you're trying to carry a conversation, but we'll still come back. Again, excellent cuisine!
Great service and tasty food. The inside does not match the outside and I was pleasantly surprised.

Excellent restaurant, the people there were super friendly, great food, will visit again for sure!
Great service!!! Amazing cocktails! We had the melontini, shots, and a surprise drink. The food was good, we had the Caesar salad, it was a bit dry but we asked for more dressing and it was perfect. We ordered the pasta short rib cheese wheel and it was served table side, great presentation! It was a bit dry but we asked for more sauce and it was perfect. Definitely will go back!!
Really LOVE this restaurant! Clearly the best Italian restaurant not just in Whittier, but surrounding cities as well. We have always been treated like VIP guests every time we come! Both food and drinks are AMAZING!
Very disappointed. We went early hoping to take advantage of happy hour specials, and even though we were one of TWO parties seated in the dining room they wouldn't serve drinks at happy hour prices in the dining room. Being generous the service and food was (in my opinion) mediocre at best. The biggest mistake Lascari's made was rebranding the restaurant. Save yourself disappointment and go somewhere else.
I brought my wife here to celebrate her birthday, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the owner Johnoson made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The atmosphere was cozy yet elegant—perfect for a special occasion. The food was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Italian flavor. This restaurant turned what was already a meaningful night into a truly memorable one. We will definitely be coming back—and recommending it to all our friends.
